No. 7 Heber Springs at No. 9 Stuttgart
Heber Springs has never beaten Stuttgart, but the undefeated Panthers rolled through Greenbrier and Lonoke the past two weeks by a combined 54-14. Stuttgart lost to Pulaski Robinson 37-28 in Week 2, but has beaten Malvern and Southside Batesville by a combined 77-0 the past two weeks. Senior quarterback Zach Boleware ran for 103 yards and a touchdown and threw a TD pass against Southside Batesville. "He's the best all-around athlete in our conference," said Heber Springs coach Steve Janski. Stuttgart running backs Kamario Robinson and Reid Counce add balance to the offense, and Counce is a key component for Stuttgart's stingy defense, which allows 11 points per game.
Janski stressed the importance of starting the season strong after the Panthers started 2008 with a 1-4 record before running to the quarterfinals for the first time in school history. A strong group of seniors "are the best class I've ever had as far as character and leadership goes," the coach said. "They are willing to do the little things." Senior running back Braylon Mitchell, who has committed to the University of Arkansas, has rushed for almost 450 yards this year, and he plays a big part when needed on defense. After Greenbrier scored on its first possession in Week 2, Mitchell played blitzing linebacker and Greenbrier never threatened again. Senior QB Wes McMullen completed key passes on third and fourth down against Lonoke, and he continues developing as a running threat.

Hooten's Arkansas Football airs at 11 a.m. Saturday on Today's THV 11 in Little Rock and KFSM in Fort Smith/Fayetteville. Games scheduled to be featured this week include Heber Springs at Stuttgart, Bald Knob at Lonoke, Pottsville at Dardanelle and DeQueen at Pulaski Oak Grove.

Berryville at HUNTSVILLE (7): Huntsville's offense (29 ppg) must carry the Eagles. Berryville has scored just six points the past two weeks.
GRAVETTE (14) at Gentry: Gentry must patch its run defense. Gravette doesn't blow out opponents, but the Lions are winning by an average of 17 points per game. Gravette is playing the remainder of the season in honor of offensive tackle Casey Russell, who died during surgery last week.
Prairie Grove at FARMINGTON (4): Farmington's D allows just a TD per game. Prairie Grove running back Thomas Soehner rushed for 250 yards and five TDs in last week's 49-30 win against Huntsville, its first victory of the year.
SHILOH CHRISTIAN (38) at Pea Ridge: Shiloh Christian's reserves should enter the game in the second quarter. The Saints blasted Berryville 37-0 last week, building a 27-0 lead in the second quarter. Pea Ridge allows 29 points per game.

Bald Knob at LONOKE (2): An injury slowed Lonoke running back Brandon Smith in the second half of last week's 21-7 loss at Heber Springs, but he should return this week. Undefeated Bald Knob outscores opponents by 16 points per game. Bulldog QB Nick Glaze threw four TD passes in last week's 44-8 win over DeWitt.
Heber Springs at STUTTGART (1): Hootens.com Game of the Week. Heber Springs has never beaten Stuttgart.
MARIANNA (6) at DeWitt: A battle of 0-4 teams. Marianna beat the Dragons 28-20 last year.
Southside Batesville at CLINTON (30): Undefeated Clinton outscores opponents by an average of 27 points per game. The Yellow Jackets beat Southside Batesville by 36 points in 2008.

GOSNELL (8) at Pocahontas: Pocahontas searches for answers after last week's 20-13 loss at Jonesboro Westside, its first loss to the Warriors in more than 30 years. The Redskins had trouble stopping Jonesboro Westside's running attack. Gosnell averages more than 300 yards rushing a game.
Highland at TRUMANN (7): Trumann gets its first win of the year. The Wildcats beat Highland 35-7 a year ago.
Jonesboro Westside at OSCEOLA (21): Improved Jonesboro Westside hasn't produced a winning season or playoff berth in 23 years, but the Warriors beat Pocahontas a week ago. Osceola has never lost to the Warriors. Osceola running back Tony Dancy has rushed for 728 yards and seven TDs this year.
Valley View at NEWPORT (4): Valley View's six-point loss against Osceola last week was impressive. Blazer QB Taylor Lindley and running back Ron Hubbard spark the Blazer offense. Newport's stout running attack revolves around QB Ryan McGauhey and running back Artez Brown.

BOONEVILLE (35) at Subiaco Academy: Booneville has invoked the 35-point sportsmanship rule in every game, outscoring opponents by an average of 44-5. Subiaco Academy QB Keon Walters powers an offense that averages 37 ppg.
Dover at WEST FORK (1): Dover QB Colton Williams has rushed for more than 700 yards this season, including 244 in last week's 13-point win over Subiaco Academy. Williams also passed for 100 yards and averaged 13 yards per kickoff return a week ago. West Fork must cut down on untimely turnovers.
Ozark at CLARKSVILLE (3): Ozark has won consecutive games for the first time in almost two years. The Hillbillies have beaten Clarksville eight times in the past 10 years. Clarksville has been outscored 90-6 the past two weeks.
POTTSVILLE (7) at Dardanelle: Pottsville's D forced four turnovers in last week's 33-7 win over previously undefeated West Fork. Dardanelle must trim its turnovers, but QB Quayd Standridge continues to evolve into a playmaker.

Arkadelphia at ASHDOWN (20): Undefeated Ashdown plays Malvern, Nashville and DeQueen the next three weeks. Arkadelphia gives up 21 points per game, but the Badgers have trouble scoring.
DEQUEEN (16) at Pulaski Oak Grove: DeQueen takes out its frustrations against Pulaski Oak Grove. DeQueen QB Jamario Ervin and running backs Corey Morgan and Greg White are finally healthy.
Mena at NASHVILLE (28): The Scrappers may have an emotional letdown after beating Liberty Eylau, Texas and DeQueen the past two weeks by a combined 72-41. Mena scored a season-high 17 points against Pulaski Oak Grove last week.
Waldron at MALVERN (25): Malvern's defense held Arkadelphia scoreless a week ago, while running back Dontail Henson ran for 110 yards and two TDs. Waldron averages just 10 ppg.

DUMAS (10) at Dollarway: Dumas has beaten the Cardinals just once this decade, 35-0 in 2007. But the undefeated Bobcats rely on strong-armed QB Darion Griswold and running back Jamarean Buchanan (119 yards against Lake Village). Winless Dollarway has trouble scoring.
HAMBURG (2) at McGehee: Hamburg must rebound from last week's 13-7 loss to Fordyce. McGehee couldn't convert on a two-point attempt in the fourth quarter in last week's 22-20 loss against Star City.
Lake Village at FORDYCE (6): Fordyce QB Dean Adams and running back Dexter Walker continue to drive the offense. The Redbug D gave up just one TD against Hamburg. Fordyce beat the Beavers 26-22 last season.
WARREN (10) at Star City: Warren hasn't lost to Star City since 2003. Since, the Lumberjacks have won five straight over the Bulldogs by an average of 42-8.
