No. 2 Greenwood at Fort Smith Southside
Greenwood has defeated Southside the past three seasons. A year ago, the Bulldogs won 15-10 on a damp turf at Smith-Robinson Stadium. Greenwood held Southside to 61 yards rushing and denied the Rebels twice after giving them a short field. Two years ago, the Bulldogs kicked a field goal with two seconds left to win 45-42.
Greenwood gutted Class 7A Springdale 63-28 last week, piling up 542 yards in the first half with no turnovers. Senior running back Jordan Green finished with 253 yards and four touchdowns, including a 63-yarder on his first carry. Junior quarterback Luke Hales completed 11 of 14 passes for 227 yards and three TDs, while sophomore Connor Noland passed for 176 yards and two scores on 11-of-15 passing. Senior receiver Ryan Padilla paced the Bulldogs with 10 catches for 214 yards and a TD.
Southside scored 35 unanswered points last week to defeat Alma during Hootens.com Kickoff Week. The Rebels trailed Alma 19-0 in the second quarter. Senior QB Cooper Johnson struggled early, throwing an interception that Alma returned for a TD, but finished 15-of-20 passing for 235 yards and a score. Senior receiver Evan Simpson caught a 3-yard TD pass. Johnson connected with senior receiver Randy Rainwater on a 52-yard pass that set up junior Kobe Rogers' 6-yard TD run.

GREENWOOD (1) at FS Southside: See Hootens.com Game of the Week.
Springdale at ALMA (10): Both teams lost last week. Springdale gave up 676 total yards in a 63-28 loss at Greenwood. The Red 'Dogs have lost 14 straight games. Alma led FS Southside 19-0 in the second quarter but lost 35-19. The Airedales beat Springdale 28-10 a year ago. Key matchup: Springdale's receivers against Alma's secondary.
HERITAGE (8) at Russellville: Heritage rallied twice last week to beat Olathe (Kan.) North 35-33, overcoming two late turnovers that led to Olathe scores. The War Eagles gained 6.3 yards on first downs. Sophomore QB Trey Kitterman ran 10 yards for the game-winning TD, capping a 77-yard drive. Russellville has lost nine straight games. The Cyclones gave up 306 yards rushing in a 35-21 loss at Morrilton. Junior QB Cale Fulsom passed for 259 yards and three TDs.
SILOAM SPRINGS (12) at Harrison: Siloam Springs scored one offensive TD in last week’s 18-6 win over Rogers but held the Mounties to 78 yards. A year ago, Siloam Springs totaled 418 yards, including 281 rushing, in a 47-35 win over Harrison.

7A/6A EAST
CONWAY (13) at Jonesboro: Conway lost to Cabot 34-18 last week, while Jonesboro beat Valley View 49-20. Conway has won the past two meetings by an average of 20 points.
Marion at NETTLETON (1): Marion beat Wynne 26-23 last week. Junior RB Tom Young ran 32 yards for a TD in the fourth quarter and caught a 16-yard TD pass. Junior CB K.B. Williams forced a fumble and returned it 99 yards for a score. Nettleton senior RB Joe Frazier ran 23 times for 136 yards and three TDs in a 20-0 win over Newport.
Mountain Home at VALLEY VIEW (14): Mountain Home (31-game losing streak) allowed 306 yards rushing in last week’s 42-21 loss to Harrison. Valley View beat Mountain Home 26-7 a year ago.
BATESVILLE (7) at Searcy: Batesville rallied past Watson Chapel 26-21 last week. Junior QB Zach Griffin generated 219 total yards, throwing a 26-yard TD pass to junior RB Kylan Robinson with 48 seconds left. Robinson also ran 37 yards for a score. Batesville beat Searcy 51-7 last season.

6A SOUTH
El Dorado at LAFAYETTE (LA.) ST. THOMAS MORE (1): El Dorado rushed for 243 yards in last week’s 22-12 win at Camden Fairview. Senior RB Kawon Love ran for 163 yards and three TDs. St. Thomas More won nine games in 2014 by an average of 32 points. Eventual Class 4A champ New Orleans Jesuit beat St. Thomas More 20-13 in the quarterfinals.
BENTON (21) at Jacksonville: Benton has won four in a row over Jacksonville, including 66-0 a year ago. The Panthers led Bryant 13-10 at halftime last week but lost 37-13. Jacksonville allowed 270 yards rushing in a 59-21 loss to Maumelle.
LAKE HAMILTON (2) at Malvern: Lake Hamilton bounces back after losing last week to Hot Springs 18-14. The Wolves defeated Malvern 34-17 last year. Watch highlights of Lake Hamilton's Week 1 loss to Hot Springs here.
MILLS (7) at LR Hall: Mills beat Hall 28-0 a year ago. Hall managed 44 total yards in last week’s 46-14 loss at Class 4A Ashdown.
LR Fair at LR PARKVIEW (35): Fair lost to Class 4A Subiaco Academy 21-14 last week. Parkview senior QB Koilan Jackson generated 284 yards, passing for 177 yards and four TDs, in a 56-7 win at Mills.
PINE BLUFF (21) at Watson Chapel: Pine Bluff defeated FS Northside 28-7 last week. The Zebras led 28-0 after scoring on their first four possessions. Pine Bluff beat Watson Chapel 45-12 a year ago. Watch highlights of Pine Bluff's Week 1 win over FS Northside here.
ARKADELPHIA (10) at Sheridan: Arkadelphia has defeated Sheridan by an average of 41 points the past two years. Sheridan lost at LR McClellan 37-14 last week.
Texarkana at LIBERTY-EYLAU, TEXAS (6): Texarkana gave up 200 yards to a single Texas High ‘back in last week’s 28-14 loss. Texarkana held Liberty-Eylau to 144 yards in last year’s 16-13 win. Liberty-Eylau (47 ppg) coming off last week's 49-21 win at Mount Pleasant, Texas. Senior QB Ke'mon Freeman, senior RB Lamont Byrd and senior receiver Thurman Morbley fuel the Leopards.
