No. 3 Springdale Har-Ber at No. 9 Conway.
Conway looks to overcome several injuries and earn a measure of respect in its home opener while soaring Har-Ber travels (336-mile round trip) for the first time this season. Conway won at Har-Ber 31-15 last fall.
Conway junior McCall Dail (5-8, 176) gained 12.7 yards per carry, totaling 165 rushing last Friday and classmate Demontay Allen (5-7, 145) returned a kick 78 yards to break a 17-17 tie in the third quarter, helping the Wampus Cats win at Class 6A No. 5 Jonesboro 31-17. Senior quarterback Breylin Smith has passed for close to 600 yards this season. “As long as (Smith) is in charge of their offense, they are dangerous,” Har-Ber coach Chris Wood says.
Har-Ber vaults in the rankings after mercy-ruling Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst and future Wisconsin running back A.J. Taylor. Har-Ber led Rockhurst 28-7 at halftime and 49-14 late in the third quarter. Har-Ber QB Fuller Chandler has passed for 10 touchdowns with no interceptions this season, including 240 yards and six scores last week. As a junior, Chandler earned all-conference honors passing for 2,447 yards and 21 TDs while running for 376 yards and another seven scores playing across town at Springdale High.

HAR-BER (20) at Conway: See Game of the Week.
FS Northside at GREENWOOD (9): Northside gets an extra day to get ready for Greenwood. The Grizzles gashed LR Central 35-14 last Thursday. Greenwood beat FS Southside 38-31 last Friday. The Bulldogs blocked a field goal and turned away Southside on fourth down twice in the fourth quarter.
LR Central at BRYANT (28): Junior Hayden Ray kicked two field goals, including a 39-yarder, and hit all three extra points in Bryant's 27-8 win at LR McClellan last Friday. Hornet QB Gunnar Burks passed for 230 yards.
LR CATHOLIC (21) at LR Parkview: Catholic ran 31 more plays and had four more first downs than Cabot in last week's 40-33 overtime loss. Parkview junior QB Koilan Jackson generated 299 yards and six TDs in last week’s 41-0 win over LR Fair. Catholic beat the Patriots 28-7 last season.
FARMINGTON (1) at Van Buren: Class 5A Farmington has more talent at the skill positions than Poteau, Okla., which beat Van Buren 23-13 last Friday. Van Buren senior QB Jordan Barlow (6-3, 200; 4.0 GPA and 31 ACT) has accounted for six TDs this fall. Pointer senior Cole Huckabee (6-3, 220) stars at linebacker while safety Jonathan Safonov (4.7 speed) had an interception, fumble recovery and eight tackles at Poteau.
Harrison at ALMA (10): Alma beat Harrison 53-16 a year ago. The Airedales gave up 431 yards in last week’s 17-7 win over Springdale. Junior QB Noah Dotson has passed for 345 yards and two TDs this year.
RUSSELLVILLE (14) at Pottsville: Russellville beat Heritage 17-0 last week, its first shutout victory in six years. Junior Jackson Hickey ran 21 times for 90 yards. Heritage rushed for 38 yards and lost three turnovers. Russellville rallied last year to beat Pottsville 35-28.
Claremont, Okla. At SILOAM SPRINGS (8): Both have beat Rogers this fall. Siloam Springs scored one offensive TD two weeks ago in a 18-6 win over Rogers, holding the Mounties to 78 yards. Claremore junior RB Keegan Hisey ran for 142 yards and three TDs in last week’s 18-7 win at Rogers.

7A/6A East
LR Fair at CABOT (35): Panthers won this matchup 41-0 last September. Class 5A Fair has won two games in four seasons and its only scores this fall came on two kick returns against Class 4A Subiaco Academy.
North LR at PINE BLUFF (35): North LR off to its worst start since starting 0-4 in 2003. North LR scored first last week but trailed Fayetteville 53-7 by halftime. Fayetteville recovered an onside kick early, blocked a punt and recovered on the 1-yard line, intercepted a pass, converted four two-point conversions and hit multiple big plays during the onslaught. North LR allows 43 points per game. Class 6A No. 1 Pine Bluff led Class 5A No. 6 Watson Chapel 43-0 at halftime last week.
WYNNE (1) at West Memphis: West Memphis had five turnovers and gave up two long TD runs in last week's 23-14 loss at Class 5A Blytheville.
LR Central at BRYANT (28): Junior Hayden Ray kicked two field goals, including a 39-yarder, and hit all three extra points in Bryant's 27-8 win at LR McClellan last Friday. Hornet QB Gunnar Burks passed for 230 yards.
JONESBORO (6) at Batesville: Jonesboro has defeated Batesville the past three seasons. Sophomores Tyson Williams and A.J. Aycock are splitting time at QB. Junior Jonathan Adams, Jr. paces the Hurricane with 12 catches for 210 yards and two TDs. Batesville lost to Searcy 28-20 last week.
NETTLETON (7) at Mountain Home: Mountain Home beat Valley View 20-14 last week, snapping its 31-game losing streak. Senior Drew Strope ran for two TDs, while senior QB Zane Walker threw a 75-yard TD pass to sophomore Isaac McKay.

Blytheville at MARION (1): Two of the hotter teams in east Arkansas. Blytheville junior RB Demekko Clark carried the Chickasaws in last week’s 23-14 win over West Memphis. Clark took a swing pass 72 yards for a TD, ran 65 yards for a score and recovered a fumble. Marion shut out Nettleton in the second half during a 34-14 road victory. Senior QB Tyler Holmes threw two TD passes to junior Collin Chambers. Junior RB Tom Young dashed 60 yards for a score. Junior CB K.B. Williams returned an interception 54 yards for a TD.

7A West
HAR-BER (20) at Conway: See Game of the Week.
Muskogee, Okla. at FAYETTEVILLE (21): North LR scored first last week but trailed Fayetteville 53-7 by halftime. Fayetteville recovered an onside kick early, blocked a punt and recovered on the 1-yard line, intercepted a pass, converted four two-point conversions and hit multiple big plays during the onslaught. Fayetteville junior QB Taylor Powell has already passed for more than 3,000 career yards, including 308 in the first half at North LR last Friday.
Tallahassee (Fla.) Rickards at BENTONVILLE (8): Valor Christian, Colo. ran 10 more plays, had four more first downs and got 361 yards offense from its D-1 QB Dylan McCaffery last Friday, but Bentonville showed for a second week its still a state title contender. Tiger three-year starting QB Kasey Ford completed 18 of 25 passes for 193 yards and two TDs. Ford needs 136 yards to surpass 4,000 career passing yards. Tiger's top receiver Clay Barganier caught eight tosses for 100 yards last week. Bentonville rides an 11-game win streak. Rickards (3-0), a top 50 team in Florida, won it OT last Friday, by two points two weeks ago and by six points in the season opener.
BIXBY, OKLA. (14) at Springdale: Springdale totaled 430 yards offense but failed to score on four of five trips into the red zone last Friday at Class 6A Alma. Bulldog receiver Kyle Williams has more than 100 yards receiving in both games this season. Oklahoma Class 6A  defending state champ Bixby boasts the first 3,000-yard passing and 2,000-yard rushing duo in state history. Springdale has lost 14 in a row.
Lake Hamilton at FS SOUTHSIDE (35): Southside QB Cooper Johnson's pass to the endzone fell incomplete as time expired in last week's loss to rival Greenwood. It was the Rebels fourth consecutive loss to the Class 6A Bulldogs. Johnson threw 50-, 72- and 15-yard TDs. Lake Hamilton has lost six of its past eight games. Southside beat the Wolves 42-17 a year ago.
JEFF CITY, MO. (13) at Rogers: Rogers led 7-6 at halftime despite having a TD negated by penalty, but threw three interceptions in the second half of last week's 18-7 loss to Claremore, Okla.
FS Northside at GREENWOOD (9): Northside gets an extra day to get ready for Greenwood. The Grizzlies gashed LR Central 35-14 last Thursday. Greenwood held off Fort Smith Southside last Friday.
HERITAGE (7) at Pulaski Robinson: Heritage totaled 38 yards rushing and had three turnovers in last week's 17-0 loss at Class 6A Russellville. It was Russellville's first shutout victory in six years. Robinson running back T.J. Hammonds, a Razorback commit, returns 100 percent after sitting out the second half last week with a leg injury. The finesse Senators, members of Class 4A, dress just 42 players.
