Harrison QB/OLB Cole Keylon - FCB Scholar Athlete of the Week
LITTLE ROCK - Harrison senior quarterback Cole Keylon, who guided the Goblins to their fourth straight 5A West conference title, is the First Community Bank Scholar Athlete of the Week.
Keylon (6-1, 195) completes 66 percent of his passes this fall for 1,880 yards and 22 touchdowns with just five interceptions. He has rushed for 881 yards (6.5 yards per carry) and 12 more TDs in Harrison's first nine games. Keylon (4.01 GPA) started at outside linebacker as a junior, making 47 tackles, including nine stops for losses and two QB sacks for a team that finished 11-1.
More than 6,000
boys play high school football in the state. Keylon (ranked No. 1 academically in a senior class of 183) is one of
only 13 selected for the prestigious award presented by First Community.
Bank
representative David Daniel and Tabitha Eddington surprised Keylon after a recent Harrison practice with the announcement.
Earlier this season, First Community presented the award to standout
students at Mountain Home, West Memphis, Batesville, Pocahontas,
Vilonia, Rivercrest, Harding Academy (Searcy), Valley View and Cabot.
