WEEK 14 PREDICTIONS (favored team highlighted in ALL CAPS)
No. 2 Shiloh Christian (11-2) vs. No. 1 LR PARKVIEW 13-0, 6:30 p.m. Saturday, War Memorial Stadium

This is a rematch of last year's state championship game, which Little Rock Parkview won 31-21, giving the Patriots their first state title since 1978. Parkview beat Camden Fairview last week 42-13 for its 24th consecutive victory. Senior quarterback Eric McGehee passed for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 50-yarder to Jermaine Penny on the second possession that put the Patriots up 14-0. Junior Cameron Settles ran for 2 touchdowns, while classmate Monterrio “Money” Elston had an 18-yard TD run. Senior lineman Alex Martin had 3 sacks and a key tackle for loss on 4th-and-1 in the second half, as the Patriots shut out Fairview after halftime.

Parkview starters have played in the second half of only 2 games this fall. McGehee has completed 93 of 140 passes (66 percent) for 1,720 yards and 16 TDs, with 2 interceptions, and rushed 34 times for 330 yards and 8 TDs. Senior Jaden Ashford (83-810-11) and Settles (90-850-19) have been the top rushers, while Elston (54-808-10 rushing; 54-796-9 receiving) is the most versatile.

SHILOH CHRISTIAN oozes with state-title pedigree. The Saints have 8 state championships, all since 1998, and return to the title game for the fifth consecutive season. But, the Saints have never won a title in Class 5A. Shiloh Christian rallied past Pine Bluff last week 49-41 (trailed 35-19 in third quarter). Senior Bo Williams ran 41 times for 269 yards and 5 TDs and caught 3 passes for 34 yards at Pine Bluff, while freshman QB Cole Creighton threw a critical 38-yard TD pass to Carter Holman on the final play of the third quarter, giving Shiloh Christian a 39-35 lead. Creighton (14-22-239-1 passing; 5-39-1 rushing) played well while under pressure from Pine Bluff's big defensive front. Sophomore Zane Sluyter (4-98) and Holman (3-68-1) were the top Saints receivers. Junior Evan Baker averaged 12 yards per carry and helps take pressure off Williams. The Saints defense, led by sophomore LB Griffin Mason (8 tackles) and Sid Scott (6 tackles), forced 5 turnovers.

Williams, who has battled an injury most of the season, has 268 carries for 1,875 yards (7 ypc) and 37 TDs, and he has 22 receptions for 230 yards and 3 TDs. Creighton, who missed almost half of the season with an injury, has completed 75 of 101 passes for 1,011 yards and 13 TDs with 2 interceptions, while Baker has passed for 1,404 yards and 15 TDs and rushed for 978 yards and 8 TDs. Holman (52-475-7) and Sluyter (23-309) are among the top Saint receivers. Senior linebacker Carter Henley has 101 tackles and 2 forced fumbles, while Mason has 96 stops and 3 forced fumbles.
