Mackey throws three TD passes as Bentonville West moves to 3–0

Bentonville West scored on its first two possessions and added four unanswered touchdowns after Edmond Santa Fe’s lone score, winning 42–7 Friday night in Edmond, Oklahoma. The Wolverines improved to 3–0 for the first time since 2017.
Sutton Mackey threw three touchdown passes: two to Ryan Adjam and one to Tanner Wirthlin. VJ Warren scored on runs of 20 and 15 yards. By halftime, Adjam had six catches for 107 yards and Warren had 107 rushing yards on eight carries.
Baron Witcher intercepted Santa Fe’s first pass with one hand and returned it to the Wolves’ 17. Two plays later, Mackey found Adjam for a 17-yard touchdown. A short Santa Fe punt set up Warren’s 20-yard score, giving West a 14–0 lead with 9:17 remaining in the first quarter.
Santa Fe answered with a four-play, 94-yard drive. KJ Sivigliano connected with Zavier Walker, who broke a tackle and completed a 78-yard touchdown reception with 39 seconds left in the quarter.
West responded with an 80-yard touchdown drive. Warren converted third-and-two with a 22-yard run, and Adjam gained 30 yards on third-and-12. Warren finished the possession with his 15-yard touchdown.
Cole Alton recovered a fumble at West’s 3-yard line on Santa Fe’s next drive. Mackey later hit Adjam for a 19-yard touchdown with 1:07 before halftime, making it 28–7.
Witcher returned the second-half kickoff 70 yards to Santa Fe’s 24. Mackey found Wirthlin for a 24-yard touchdown on fourth-and-10, extending the lead to 35–7.
Lucas Williams added a 7-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-one with 3:28 left in the third quarter. Ethan Robinson made all six extra points.
West’s defense kept Santa Fe scoreless over the final three quarters. Matthew McClain stopped Walker short on fourth down during the Wolves’ final possession, returning the football to West with approximately one minute remaining.
