No. 15 Forrest City (4-0; 1-0) at No. 6 GOSNELL (4-0; 1-0)
A battle of unbeatens that should shape the 3-4A. These teams have played only twice (both Forrest City wins in nonconference games in 2012-2013).
Forrest City jumped on Blytheville 46-18 in the first half last week, cruising to a 62-18 decision. The Mustangs have scored at least 5 TDs in every game. “Our offense has to continue to put up lots of points, cause we are going to need them this week,” Coach Brandon Wilkins says. “Defensively, we have to play hard and fly to the ball, because Gosnell has 2 great running backs.”
Gosnell remained unbeaten last week with its 36-21 win at Pocahontas. The Pirates trailed 14-7 in the third quarter before gaining control late. Senior QB Jamar Allen ran for more than 100 yards and a touchdown, and senior Mason Woods ran for 2 TDs.

Berryville (3-1; 1-0) at No. 3 ELKINS (3-1; 1-0): Berryville held Huntsville to 152 yards in last week’s 32-7 victory. Senior QB CT Hicks threw 2 TD passes and rushed for a TD. Senior John Butler (19-170-2 TDs) led the Bobcats’ rushing attack, and senior Isaiah West (3-72- 1 TD) was the top receiver. Senior DL Rendy Lazo made 7 tackles. Elkins senior QB Austin Born threw for 282 yards and 3 TDs and ran 11 times for 91 yards and 3 TDs to lead the Elks past Gentry 41-0. Receivers Ki’Onte Martin (4-100-2 TDs) and Braxton Toney (6-128-1 TD) played only in the first half of the mercy-rule win. Senior LB Cason Roten led the defense with 6 tackles and Isaac Meyer had 5 tackles, including 1 sack.
No. 9 GRAVETTE (3-1; 1-0) at Green Forest (3-1; 0-1): Gravette senior QB Hudson Harris (6-7-110 passing, 2 TDs) and senior RB JD Beem (8-123-2 TDs) played well in the first half of last week’s 69-7 victory over Lincoln. Junior Jack Grimes caught a 46-yard TD pass, had 1 carry for 19 yards, and recorded 2 tackles and 1 interception. Green Forest’s Hadley Maybee‘s third-quarter TD run pulled the Tigers within 21-6 of Prairie Grove last week, before Prairie Grove’s 3 late TDs. Ywa Hay Moo paced Green Forest with 124 yards.
PRAIRIE GROVE (1-3; 1-0) at Huntsville (1-3; 0-1): Huntsville hasn’t beaten Prairie Grove since Week 2, 2000. Prairie Grove picked up its first win last week, beating Green Forest 40-6. The Tiger defense, led by DL Ben Gomez and Tristan Campbell, played well. DB Luke Parrish made a key first-half interception. Senior QBBNoah Bowling threw 2 TD passes and ran for another. Huntsville senior Garrett McElhaney ran for 98 yards in last week’s 32-7 loss at Berryville, but the Eagles were 0-3 on pass attempts.
GENTRY (3-1; 0-1) at Lincoln (1-3; 0-1): Both teams are looking to bounce back after being blown out last week by a combined 110-7. Gentry has beaten Lincoln 3 of the past 4 years, including last year 42-13. Lincoln QB Korbin Price threw a TD pass in last week’s 69-7 loss to Gravette.

Mayflower (3-1; 1-0) at No. 16 BAUXITE (2-2; 0-1): Mayflower QB Carter Smith passed for 269 yards and 4 TDs in last week’s 34-21 victory at Clinton. Callen McCaghren caught 7 passes for 65 yards and 1 TD, and Isaac Immel added 8 receptions, 66 yards and 1 TD. Bauxite has scored 13 points in consecutive losses at Arkadelphia and Lonoke.
Bald Knob (3-1; 0-1) at No. 11 LONOKE (2-2; 1-0): Bald Knob failed to score on 3 red zone opportunities in last week’s 21-0 loss to HG Haskell. QB Stefan Palomares generated almost 200 yards. Lonoke notched a 31-7 victory over Bauxite last week as QB Dylan Dean passed for 210 yards and 3 TDs. D’Mareon Eason (4-129-2 receiving) and Jonathan Hixson (TD catch, 2 sacks) contributed. Senior LB Ryder Ingle (10 tackles, including 5 TFL, forced fumble) and Huck Waddell (INT. return TD).
Clinton (0-4; 0-1) at No. 20 CAC (3-1; 0-1): Clinton senior Harold McNabb ran for 155 yards and 2 TDs in last week’s loss to Mayflower. He also contributed 16 tackles and 1 forced fumble. CAC must quickly regroup from its first loss (28-21 to Heber Springs). The Mustangs were stopped on the goal line with less than 3 minutes remaining. QB Jackson Plumlee threw a TD pass and ran for another; Brody Vantilborg raced 70 yards for a TD. CAC’s defense intercepted 2 passes.
HG Haskell (1-3;1-0) at No. 19 HEBER SPRINGS (3-1; 1-0): Both teams picked up key road wins last week, HG Haskell beating previously undefeated Bald Knob 21-0; Heber Springs rallying from a 14-point deficit, then making a goal-line stand in the final minutes, to knock off previously unbeaten CAC 28-21. Heber Springs sophomore QB Spencer Sugg passed for 354 yards and 3 TDs and Eli Long led the receivers (7-153-1 TD); Laclan Tubbs caught a TD pass and was a force at LB (7 tackles, 1 sack and 1 forced fumble). Titus Bullington led Heber Springs with 13 tackles and a fumble recovery that set up the tying TD late in the third quarter. HG Haskell gave up 156 yards in last week’s shutout victory. Senior Brayden Belk led the defense with 10 tackles. Sophomore Tucker Blaylock ran for 70 yards, 2 TDs, and on defense had 9 tackles, 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery.

Blytheville (0-4; 0-1) at No. 7 SOUTHSIDE (3-1; 1-0): Blytheville scored its first points of the season last week in a 62-18 loss to Forrest City. QB Kayden Smith threw 3 TD passes, 2 of them to Sharmion Stokes and the other to Josh Holton. Southside senior QB Trey Allen tallied 188 yards (88 passing, 100 rushing) in last week’s 35-6 win over Trumann. Freshman Ryan McLaughlin ran for 2 TDs, and Karson McSpadden turned a hat trick (scoring TDs passing, receiving and rushing). LB Gentry Shirley-Hoskins had 14 tackles, and Ethan Moser had 12.
Trumann (0-4; 0-1) at No. 12 HIGHLAND (3-1; 1-0): These programs have split their 22 meetings, with Highland winning 3 consecutive by a combined 119-30. Highland beat Jonesboro Westside last week 41-7. Senior QB Austin Christy passed for 134 yards and 2 TDs; senior Jimmy Jensen ran 5 times for 81 yards and 2 TDs. Trumann QB Drake Harlow passed for 100 yards, and Johnny Bell ran for 60 yards in Trumann’s 29-point loss to Southside last week. Junior DB Keegan Gann made 12 tackles in his first varsity start.
Jonesboro Westside (2-2; 0-1) at POCAHONTAS (1-3; 0-1): Jonesboro Westside has lost consecutive games after starting the season 2-0. Junior Barrett Burgess ran for the Warriors’ TD last week. Pocahontas led Gosnell 14-7 in the third quarter, but was outscored 14-0 in the fourth quarter of a 36-21 setback. Senior Xavyer Ballard ran for Pocahontas’ first TD moments after Lane Thielemier‘s interception.

No. 5 OZARK (4-0; 0-1) at Waldron (3-1; 0-1): Ozark has won 9 of the past 10 over Waldron, with the Bulldogs notching a 7-point victory in 2024. Hillbillies’ junior RB John Skolarski set a school rushing record in last week’s 42-22 win over Lamar with 334 yards and 3 TDs (on 22 carries). Senior Easton Fox logged 16 carries for 118 yards and 2 TDs. Junior Kanyon Connelly led the defense with 8 tackles with 1 sack. Waldron must bounce back from last week’s emotional 38-31 loss to rival Mena. The Bulldogs ran for more than 400 yards vs. Mena, led by Jaxson Brown (23-180-3 TDs, 3 two-point conversions), Austin Hudson (22-159) and Phisher Brown (6-45-1 TD).
No. 8 BOONEVILLE (4-0; 1-0) at Mena (2-2; 1-0): Booneville has won 8 of the past 9 over Mena, but the teams haven’t played since 2021. Booneville’s game with Subiaco Academy last week was canceled less than 48 hours before kickoff, leaving the Bearcats with no other opponent. The Bearcats have 799 program victories, needing one to become the fourth in state history with 800 wins, joining Nashville (849), Pine Bluff (834) and LR Central (811). Senior Brody Chambers leads the offense (84-480-7 rushing) while junior LB Sadler Miller paces the defense (22 tackles, 1 interception, 1 blocked kick). Mena slipped past rival Waldron by 7 points last week. Sophomore QB Hank Rose rushed for 203 yards and 3 TDs and passed for 87 yards and a TD. Chance Hughes added 96 yards rushing and 1 TD, and Max Dollarhyde racked up 11 tackles.
Subiaco Academy (0-4; 0-1) at No. 14 POTTSVILLE (4-0; 1-0): Subiaco Academy Coach B.J. Applegate said on Monday morning that the Trojans hope to get 3 injured starters back this week and plan to play Pottsville after the injuries forced them to forfeit last week’s contest vs. Booneville. Pottsville beat Dover 42-12 a week ago. Penn Helton (9-136 yards) and Kai Mahan (7-61-2 TDs) led the Apaches’ rushing attack. Senior Eli Morris’ lone carry went 34 yards for a TD, and his only catch covered 49 yards for a TD.
LAMAR (3-1; 0-1) at Dover (2-2; 0-1): Dover first-year coach Josh Jones faces his former team. Jones went 104-57 in 14 years at Lamar and left in the spring as the school’s winningest coach. Lamar has won 5 in a row over Dover by a combined 195-33. Lamar led Ozark 7-0 in the second quarter last week before losing 42-22. QB Karsten Schluterman (20-37-224 passing, 2 TDs), WR Kendrick Carr (11-133 receiving, 1 TD) and WR Brailon Carr (4-30 receiving, 1 TD) played well offensively. LBs Whitman Storment (16 tackles), Blaine Berry (10 tackles, 1 forced fumble) and Grady Marvel had 9 tackles.

No. 2 NASHVILLE (4-0; 1-0) at No. 10 Fountain Lake (4-0; 1-0): Nashville beat Fountain Lake the past 2 years by a combined 111-26, but Fountain Lake shocked the Scrappers 54-21 in 2021. Nashville must move past last week’s come-from-behind 20-point win over Arkadelphia. Sophomore RB Jakhari Starr (27-193-1 rushing; 1 reception for 25 yards) and senior WR Bryce Perrin (7-100-2 receiving, 1-5 rushing) were key to the comeback. Senior end Jailyn Staggers made 10 tackles (3 sacks and 2 other TFL), while senior cornerback Kishon Jefferson intercepted 1 pass and recovered 1 fumble. Fountain Lake is 4-0 for the first time since 2008, when the Cobras won their first 13 games and finished as state runners-up. Senior QB Cooper Buss passed for 268 yards and 4 TDs in last week’s 21-point win at Fouke.
Fouke (2-2; 0-1) at No. 4 ARKADELPHIA (2-2; 0-1): This is the first meeting between these teams, and both are coming off losses last week (Fouke 41-20 to Fountain Lake and Arkadelphia 42-22 at Nashville). Fouke QB Cody Helfin passed for 258 yards and 3 TDs and averaged 7 yards per carry last week. Arkadelphia jumped on Nashville 15-0, then was outscored 42-7. “No one played good for us,” Arkadelphia Coach Chris Kizer says.
MALVERN (2-2; 1-0) at Hope (0-4; 0-1): These teams played every year from 1970-2007 as members of the former AAA Southwest and its counterpart, but they haven’t played since. Hope has beaten the Leopards 10 in a row. Malvern has beaten HG Haskell and Genoa Central in consecutive games after starting the season with back-to-back losses. Malvern senior RB Wesley Morley (7-127-2 TDs) played well vs. Genoa Central. Hope lost at Ashdown 14-7 a week ago. Senior QB Austin Courtney passed for 196 yards and “managed the game well,” Coach Phillip Turner says. RB Jeremiah Warner (78 total yards) and WR Jaiden Brown (7-82 receiving) contributed on offense; the defense was led by LB J’Kari Gulley (10 tackles), LB Cayden Haywood (5 tackles, 1 blocked punt), LB Joel Bello (7 tackles) and DE Aaden West (4 tackles, 1 sack).
ASHDOWN (2-2; 1-0) at Genoa Central (3-1; 0-1): Ashdown has won consecutive games after an 0-2 start. Senior QB Shooter Johnson passed for 169 yards and 2 TDs to lead the Panthers to a 14-7 victory over Hope a week ago. Senior Bryson French caught a TD pass and has 6 TDs in the past 2 games. Senior DL Mario Lewis registered 6 tackles (2 sacks and 2 other TFL). Genoa Central started the season 3-0, but lost at Malvern last week by 33 points. Senior BJ Colley ran for the lone Dragons TD.

Crossett (2-2; 1-0) at No. 1 STUTTGART (4-0; 1-0): Stuttgart beat Crossett by a combined 100-34 the past 2 years and 48-21 in the first round of the 2022 playoffs. Stuttgart beat Watson Chapel last week 48-0, but senior QB Cain Price injured his shoulder and will miss at least the next 2 games. Junior Bradley Benton filled in for Price last week, passing for 147 yards and 1 TD and running for 1 TD. Cordero Berry ran for 1 TD and intercepted a pass, while Keaton Byers intercepted 2 passes, returning 1 for a TD. Crossett’s 34-21 win over Star City was its first conference victory since beating the Bulldogs in Week 4 last year. Braylon Howell ran for 179 yards and 1 TD and caught a TD pass, while Kaevon Scoby led the defense with 9 tackles, including 4 TFL, and an interception.
No. 13 MONTICELLO (2-2; 1-0) at No. 18 Warren (2-2; 1-0): The winner gets the 146-pound Saline River Shootout Trophy. Warren is 23-2-1 against Monticello under coach Bo Hembree, including a 4-point win last season. The Lumberjacks are struggling with injuries this fall, but snapped a 2-game losing skid with last week’s 38-14 win at DeWitt by turning to their ground attack. Sophomore Jacolby Avery (38-193-2 TDs) and Deangelo Herron (8-87-3 TDs) were the top rushers. Herron also made 7 tackles on defense. Monticello ended a 2-game losing streak with last week’s 44-24 victory over Hamburg. QB Hudson Harvey (10-11-139 passing) and senior RB Joseph Accelus (21-114-2 TDs rushing, 3-50 receiving) were the offensive cogs; LB Ed Ramos (8 tackles, 1 sack) and Grant Cox (4 tackles, 1 sack) keyed the defense.
Watson Chapel (0-4; 0-1) at No. 17 HAMBURG (3-1; 0-1): These teams split their 2 meetings when members of the former AAA-Southeast in 1996-1997, and they haven’t met since Hamburg’s 10-0 win on Halloween in 1997. Watson Chapel lost to top-ranked Stuttgart last week 48-0, while Hamburg lost its first game (44-24 at Monticello). WR Colt Tubbs (9-76-1 TD) and LB Aiden Robinson (11 tackles) played well for Hamburg.
DEWITT (1-3; 0-1) at Star City (2-2; 0-1): These teams have been members of the same conference the past 20 years, with Star City winning 15 times. But DeWitt has won the past 3 seasons, including 37-36 in 2024 and 42-16 a year ago. DeWitt surrendered nearly 300 rushing yards in last week’s 24-point loss to Warren. Star City was tied with Crossett 21-21 in the fourth quarter before giving up 2 late scores in a 34-21 setback. The Bulldogs must hold on to the ball better after throwing 2 interceptions and losing 1 fumble.
