OSCEOLA — Kylan Bragg ran for 131 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Dedrick Coleman returned an onside kick 45 yards for a touchdown with 48 seconds remaining as Osceola defeated Harrisburg 48-34 Friday night.

The Seminoles led 34-14 after 3 quarters and 41-16 with less than 4 minutes left, but Harrisburg scored 3 touchdowns in the final 1:55. Coleman’s return interrupted that late surge, restoring a 20-point advantage immediately after the Hornets had cut the deficit to 13.

Harrisburg struck first on Bryar Jones’ 31-yard touchdown pass to Tiya Ansley. Gus Easter ran for the conversion and an 8-0 lead with 5:28 remaining in the first quarter. Bragg answered from the 2, but Osceola’s failed conversion left the Seminoles behind 8-6.

Coleman then recovered an onside kick, giving Osceola another possession. Bragg finished that drive with a 6-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter, and Deizel Freeman’s extra point put the Seminoles ahead 13-8. Spears’ 35-yard touchdown pass to Coleman extended the margin before Jones found Jayvin Thompson for a 5-yard score with 20 seconds left in the half.

Osceola took its 20-14 halftime lead to 34-14 with two third-quarter touchdowns. Bragg scored from the 17, and Spears connected with Fabious Hughes for a 21-yard touchdown. Freeman converted both extra points.

Harrisburg blocked a punt in the fourth quarter, but Osceola’s Easton Hearn recovered in the end zone to limit the damage to a safety. The Hornets drove into scoring territory after the free kick before Amari Redd intercepted Jones. Adrian Davis later scored on a 23-yard run, and Freeman’s kick made it 41-16 with 3:53 remaining.

The Hornets kept extending the game. Grayson Harkey scored from the 1 with 1:55 left, and Harrisburg recovered the ensuing onside kick. Kyle Fitzgerald finished a 5-yard hook-and-lateral scoring play with 55 seconds remaining, cutting the deficit to 41-28 after another failed conversion.

Coleman collected the next onside kick and took it to the end zone. Harrisburg answered once more, with Jones throwing a 43-yard touchdown pass to Ansley with 9 seconds left. Hughes recovered the final onside kick, allowing Osceola to kneel out the remaining time.
