BOONEVILLE — Devon Ritchie scored on a run, a punt return and a kickoff return, and Booneville answered an early deficit with 47 consecutive points in a 53-14 victory over Dover Friday night at Bearcat Stadium.

Aiden Rhinehart added 122 yards and two touchdowns on two second-half carries. Quarterback Tayden Washburn threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Bearcats improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the 4A-4. Dover fell to 3-4 and 1-3.

The Pirates controlled the opening possession, converting fourth-and-one during a drive that reached the Booneville 1. On fourth-and-goal, Jacob Roberson took the snap and scored with 5:33 remaining in the first quarter. Hayden Daniel blocked the extra-point attempt, leaving Dover ahead 6-0.

Ritchie erased that advantage on Booneville’s first offensive play. He took a pitch to the right and raced down the sideline for a 67-yard touchdown. The extra point missed, but the Bearcats had tied the game without needing a second snap.

Booneville forced a punt and quickly struck again. After a short Brody Chambers run, Washburn found Drake Brackney deep for a 77-yard touchdown. Brackney juggled the ball before securing it and keeping his balance, then finished the play in the end zone. Daniel’s two-point run made it 14-6.

Rylie Swint provided a third-down rushing conversion on the next scoring possession. Washburn followed with a 37-yard keeper down the left side, and Daniel ran in another conversion for a 22-6 lead early in the second quarter.

Dover’s next possession went backward, ending with a punt on fourth-and-30. Ritchie fielded the kick and returned it 48 yards for his second touchdown. Dakota Fonseca added the extra point, extending Booneville’s lead to 29-6 with 7:51 left before halftime.

The Pirates threatened again late in the half, but Booneville held on fourth-and-goal from the 2 when Dover’s pass fell incomplete. Daniel and Chambers helped move the Bearcats back upfield before Washburn connected with Callen Montalvo for a 33-yard touchdown with 48 seconds remaining. Booneville led 35-6 at halftime, with both of Washburn’s completions accounting for touchdowns and 110 passing yards.

Ritchie returned the second-half kickoff for a touchdown, pushing the margin to 41-6 and triggering the running clock. After another defensive stop, Sadler Miller broke a long run across midfield. Rhinehart finished the two-play possession with a 40-yard touchdown run, stretching the lead to 47-6.

Dover’s Jacob Glasspoole scored on a five-yard toss with 25 seconds left in the third quarter, and Zeke Brown ran in the two-point conversion. Rhinehart supplied Booneville’s final score on an 82-yard run with 7:55 remaining in the fourth.

Miller was credited with eight first-half tackles in the broadcast’s halftime statistics. The Bearcats visit Ozark next Friday in a matchup of teams unbeaten overall and in conference play.
