WEEK 9 PREDICTIONS (favored teams in ALL CAPS and highlighted in Orange)

HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK:

No. 7 Little Rock Christian (4-2; 2-1) at No. 1 CONWAY (7-1; 5-0):

Little Rock Christian’s only conference setback was a 15-point loss to North Little Rock. Conway dropped an early nonconference game to Bentonville, but leaped the Tigers in this week’s poll to take over the No. 1 spot. They are now the only Class 7A team with an undefeated conference record. Last week, Conway dominated, beating Pulaski Academy 56-7. Little Rock Christian was equally dominant in its  65-7 win over Fort Smith Northside and has won 4 of their past 5 games. Comparatively, Conway has won 6 of its last 7. The Warriors make this one a 4-quarter contest, but the Wampus Cats win at home and move to 6-0 in conference play.

7A CENTRAL

No. 5 NORTH LITTLE ROCK (7-1; 4-1) at No. 8 Bryant (4-4; 4-1): North Little Rock sits quietly at 4-1 behind a tough defense and a physical rushing attack. The Charging Wildcats remain No. 5 in 7A. Bryant beat Cabot 40-10 and is 4-1 in conference. Kyler Shelby threw for 151 yards and ran for 83 more. Whoever loses this week will have 2 conference losses, decreasing chances of a first-round bye. North Little Rock looks more complete and will defeat the Hornets on the road.

PULASKI ACADEMY (2-6; 1-4) at Fort Smith Northside (2-6, 0-5): PA did all it could offensively, but with its top 2 QBs missing the game with injuries, it was just too much to overcome. Conway played well from start to finish and won 56-7. Northside looks for its first conference win, but the Bruins bounce back and defeat the Grizzlies on the road.

Little Rock Central (1-7; 0-5) at CABOT (3-4, 2-2): Central comes in 1-7 and can’t catch a break. Cabot looked to be improving, were playing Bryant tight in the second quarter, and let it slip away. Malik Shipp made a momentum-swinging return, taking a second-quarter punt 82 yards to the house. Cabot has home-field advantage and capitalizes with a win over the Tigers.

7A WEST

No. 2 SHILOH CHRISTIAN (7-1; 4-1) at No. 6 Bentonville West (7-1; 4-1): Few expected Shiloh Christian to lose to Har-Ber last Friday, but turnovers plagued the Saints last week as they had the lowest offensive output of their 2026 campaign (321 total yards). Bentonville West’s only slip-up came 2 weeks ago when Har-Ber beat them by 3 points. Two big tests await the Wolverines (Bentonville Week 10). Shiloh uses the loss as a wake-up call and defeats West on the road.

No. 4 SPRINGDALE HAR-BER (6-2; 4-1) at Rogers (1-7; 1-4): Har-Ber has won 4 conference games in a row after taking advantage of 3 turnovers to upset Shiloh Christian. QB Brice Owens was efficient, throwing for 158 yards and a TD. Treyson Reith caught the TD and had over 100 receiving yards. Rogers dropped last week’s contest to Bentonville 28-23. The Mounties still play for Week 11 hopes, with their playoff chances very much alive. Har-Ber extends its win streak with a road win.

No. 2 BENTONVILLE (7-1; 4-1) at Springdale (2-5; 2-2): Bentonville escaped a 1-win Rogers team last week by 5 points. The Tigers remain tied with 3 other teams (West, Har-Ber, Shiloh) atop the 7A West. Springdale beat Fayetteville 10-7 and still has playoff hopes. The Bulldogs won the takeaway battle (3) and held Fayetteville to 28 rushing yards. Bentonville knocks off Springdale and continues to pursue the conference crown.

Rogers Heritage (0-8, 0-5) at FAYETTEVILLE (3-4; 1-3): Heritage remains winless at 0-8. The War Eagles dropped last week’s game to Bentonville West by 31 points. Fayetteville lost to Springdale at home by 3 points. Fayetteville can still make the postseason. The Purple Dogs win and move to 2-3 in conference.
