Farmington 43, Edmond North (OK) 42

FARMINGTON — In one of the wildest finishes of Week 0, Farmington outlasted Edmond North (OK) 43–42 in a thriller Friday night. The Cardinals trailed in the fourth quarter but rallied behind senior quarterback Quinton Napier, who accounted for three touchdowns and the game-winning two-point conversion.

Napier opened the scoring with a 9-yard touchdown pass, then broke free for rushing scores of 27 and 12 yards, the latter putting Farmington ahead 43–34 with under four minutes remaining. His two-point keeper after Hutcherson’s touchdown earlier in the quarter ultimately stood as the difference.

Running back Kharter Hutcherson added two short TD plunges, including a pivotal 1-yard run that tied the game in the final period.

Edmond North, led by dual-threat QB Chauncey Cravens, nearly stole it late. Cravens threw for multiple touchdowns, ran for another, and powered across on a two-point try with less than a minute left to pull the Huskies within one. Farmington’s hands team, however, fell on the onside kick to secure the win.

The back-and-forth battle featured multiple lead changes, explosive plays and late-game drama, stamping it as the most dramatic finish of the opening week.
