HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 1 LR PARKVIEW (1-1) at Class 6A Benton (1-1)
Benton beat LR Parkview 30-23 when these teams last played, in 2023.
Benton led Class 7A North Little Rock 24-7 at halftime last week when the game was called due to a shooting. The Arkansas Activities Association has awarded the victory to Benton, and the game will not be resumed. Senior QB Drew Davis threw 3 TD passes vs. North LR, while Gabe Wilbur drilled a 37-yard field goal. But Benton could be without 4 offensive starters this week.
Little Rock Parkview must bounce back from last week’s 49-6 loss at Class 7A No. 1 Bryant. The Patriots trailed Bryant 35-0 in the second quarter. Junior QB Montrell Thompson ran for LR Parkview’s TD.
