Hampton 44, Two Rivers 14

HAMPTON — Hampton punched in early and never lost control, rolling past Two Rivers 44–14 in a nonconference road win at Gator Stadium. The Bulldogs (3–0) led 16–0 after one quarter and 32–0 at halftime behind a string of explosive runs and timely conversions.

Quarterback DJ Clarke (QB/DB) opened the scoring with a short keeper and added two two-point runs. Senior Deondre Smith (WR/DB) followed the Bulldogs’ onside-kick recovery with a 46-yard sprint to the end zone. In the second quarter, senior Aden Williams (WR/DB) broke free for a 74-yard touchdown and later powered in from the 3 as Hampton’s pace and depth showed. Clarke’s 51-yard strike to sophomore Dre Clarke (WR/DB) set up the first score of the third quarter before he finished the night with a goal-line plunge.

Two Rivers answered with a 21-yard touchdown late in the third and a 6-yard run in the fourth; junior Miguel Castro was perfect on both PATs. The Gators also flashed field position and edge speed with Jordan Jones (QB/RB), Drake Hess (WR/OLB) and Aayden Santiago (WR/CB) driving two red-zone marches before halftime.

Up front, Hampton’s line—Taylor White (OL/LB) and Ayson McDonald (OL/DL) among others—cleared lanes, while Keegan Jones (RB/LB) and Jayden Thomas (FB/LB) stacked tackles during a pair of goal-to-go stands that swung momentum.
