Rogers 56, Fayetteville 55

FAYETTEVILLE — Rogers survived a furious late rally to edge Fayetteville, 56–55, after the Bulldogs’ potential game‑tying PAT was blocked with :26 remaining Friday at Harmon Field. The win kept the Mounties unbeaten and flipped a rivalry that has produced one‑score finishes in recent years.

Rogers’ senior signal‑caller Jeff Regan accounted for five touchdowns, including a 40‑yard strike to Xander Burke for the go‑ahead score with 1:36 to play. Earlier, Regan ripped a 68‑yard keeper and added short scoring runs behind a line paced by Henry Frazier, Caden Laramore, Andrew Cordischi, Grayson Cooper and Brody Martin. Receiver Braxton Lindsey hauled in a 44‑yard TD in the second quarter, and Titus Cramer punctuated the half with a 90‑yard kickoff return plus an early 3‑yard plunge. Fayetteville answered throughout behind Hank Hendrix, who delivered explosive shots to Kinyun Johnson and Catavion Taylor and later bulled in from three yards to pull within one before the blocked PAT. Taylor (WR) and Johnson (WR) fueled the Bulldogs’ perimeter game all night; sophomore back Terrence Garden added a third‑quarter goal‑line score.

Special teams tilted the margins. Rogers’ Cooper Daniel blocked a first‑half field goal, and Hunter Dickey swatted the decisive PAT in the final minute. Kicker Juan Chaparro was perfect on eight PATs for Rogers, while Ethan Farthinghandled kicking for the Bulldogs.

Rogers led 35–21 at halftime, saw Fayetteville erase a 14‑point fourth‑quarter deficit with consecutive deep shots, then reclaimed the lead on Burke’s seam route before the final stand.
