Lakeside 34, Magnolia 6

Magnolia — Lakeside seized control early and never let go, building a 28–0 halftime cushion and finishing a 34–6 win over Magnolia on Friday night at Don Humber Field.

Wally Wolcott steered the Rams with a poised night through the air, tossing touchdown strikes to receivers Luke Wrublesky and Drew Morgan. Running back Tremendous Cain supplied the muscle, banging out 72 yards on seven carries with two scores, while Peter Ohman added a 33‑yard burst to paydirt. Lakeside’s front kept Wolcott clean and created creases for the ground game.

Magnolia answered with grit. Quarterback Walker Carter found Kaleb Roach in stride for the Panthers’ lone touchdown, and slot backs Jamaijha Marshall and Ike Ainsworth each flashed burst on the edge to extend drives. Linebacker Chevis Johnson and defensive end George Jackson delivered multiple stops that briefly stemmed the Rams’ pace. Magnolia’s specialists also covered kicks well and limited return damage throughout the second half. The Panthers never folded.

After a 7–0 first quarter, Lakeside layered points with balance—a short Cain plunge, Ohman’s long run, and Morgan’s late‑half grab—to take command. Magnolia kept fighting, assembling a fourth‑quarter march capped by Carter’s strike to Roach before Cain’s second rushing score closed the book. Both teams cleaned up penalties after the break; the final two quarters moved quickly behind the run game.

Lakeside improves with a statement win built on efficiency and depth, while Magnolia showed flashes that will travel—tackling, a resilient ground game, and a quarterback‑to‑receiver connection that can threaten any secondary.
