WARREN — Quarterback Jackson Denton unleashed five touchdown passes, and Warren leaned on explosive plays to defeat Star City 42–14 on Friday at Lumberjack Stadium. Denton struck early with a quick screen to Josiah “JoJo” Steen, then found Bleyze Fellows on an 85‑yard post and Tayshawn Edwards on a 94‑yard go route as the Lumberjacks built a three‑score first quarter cushion. Kicker Jacarlos Marquez was perfect on extra points to keep momentum with the hosts now.

Star City answered with speed. Junior WR/CB Kynan Griffith knifed through coverage for a 90‑yard kickoff return to briefly tie the game, and sophomore QB Justin Holloway steered a steady option attack with RB/FS Parker Winn and WR/TE Jacob Boothe moving the chains. In the fourth quarter, sophomore RB/FS Jamarian Spencer burst 54 yards off right edge for the Bulldogs’ second score as Star City held Warren without a second‑half point.

Warren’s defense tightened after early exchanges, with LB Luis Woods and the front limiting inside runs while the secondary erased explosives. The Bulldogs’ defense authored its own stand—Boothe and OLB Mason Sanders stacked consecutive tackles inside the 5 to force a turnover on downs—one of several bright spots on a night otherwise controlled by Warren’s downfield passing game.
