No. 2 MANSFIELD (7-0, 4-0) at No. 6 Booneville (5-2, 4-0)
The 84th meeting between these rivals, both ranked in the top 10 at the moment, could play a major role in deciding the 1-3A conference title and playoff seeding. Mansfield snapped a 24-game losing streak to Booneville last season, making the stakes even higher with this year’s matchup taking place on the Bearcats’ home turf. Mansfield scored 40 first-quarter points last Friday night en route to 56-0 win over Cedarville. The Tigers’ ground game was led by Andrew Burton (5-51 rushing, 2 TDs) and Silas Burton (3-98 rushing, 1 TD); QB Jubal Parks (4-6 passing 153 yards, 1 TD; 42 rushing yards) fueled the air attack. Two offensive linemen – Zander Walters and James Bausley each found the end zone for Mansfield. Booneville rolled past West Fork Friday night, led by Hayden “HD” Daniel (4-109 rushing, 1 TD), Hunter Warren (7-47 rushing, 2 TDs), and Rhett Nietert (5-89 rushing, 2 TDs; 1-3 passing for 24 yards, 1 TD). Defensive tackle/punter Cutler Haller converted a rare drop kick on a PAT attempt. This matchup has all the makings of a close one, but Mansfield is expected to squeak by, remain unbeaten, and extend its win streak in the rivalry to 2.

No. 5 CHARLESTON (6-1, 3-1) at Cedarville (1-6, 0-4): Charleston QB Carter Little (6-7 passing, 215 yards, 3 TDs) led his team to a dominant win over Lavaca last Friday night. Little connected with WR Maddux Terry (3-128 receiving, 1 TD) for big plays; RB Garred Smithson (3-54 rushing, 1 TD; 1-9 receiving, 1 TD) contributed on the ground and through the air. Defensive Lineman Trey Beam contributed a scoop-and-score fumble recovery. Cedarville couldn’t find any offensive rhythm, falling to Mansfield 56-0, its second shutout loss of the season.
LAVACA (4-3, 2-2) at Hackett (3-4, 1-3): Lavaca dropped its second consecutive conference game, falling to Charleston Friday night. Hackett earned its first conference win with an impressive performance against Greenland, led by standout dual-threat athlete Matthew Gardner (96 passing yards, 1 TD; 86 rushing yards, 2 TDs; 6 tackles, 1 INT). Ryan Clark (113 rushing yards, 1 TD) powered the Hornets offense; Evan Griffin (7 tackles, 3 INTs) and Ace Wooten (7 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack) anchored a dominant defensive effort.
WEST FORK (1-6, 1-3) at Greenland (1-6, 1-3): West Fork fell to Booneville but gained 215 yards of total offense. Junior QBk Carson Jones (166 passing yards, 2 TDs) surpassed the 1,000-yard passing mark for the season; sophomore Will Preston (130 all-purpose yards, 1 TD) made an impact in multiple phases. Greenland dropped its third conference matchup and sixth overall, falling to Hackett on Friday night.
2-3A
No. 14 ATKINS (6-1, 3-1) at No. 15 Quitman (6-1, 3-1): Atkins bounced back from its loss to top-ranked Salem with a 38-7 home victory over Melbourne on Friday night. The Red Devils were led by QB Cole Crawford (15-24 passing, 147 yards, 3 TDs; 34 rushing yards, 2 TDs), Cooper Goodall (18-47 rushing; 5-58 receiving) and Dakota Hamm (9-74 rushing, 2 TDs; 1 forced fumble). Ethan Linboom (1 INT) and John Davis (16 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT) anchored a defense that held Melbourne to 7 points. Quitman suffered its loss last week, falling to No. 8 Mayflower, 34-6.
No. 1 SALEM (7-0, 4-0) at Mountain View (3-4, 2-2): Salem beat Yellville-Summitt 66-8, and has outscored opponents 320-61 so far this season. Kaden Brink (10-117 rushing, 1 TD), Jackson Taylor (5-9 passing, 113 yards, 1 TD; 3-20 rushing, 2 TDs), and Tripp Martin (5-39 rushing, 2 TDs) led the Greyhounds’ offense, which had 6 players find the end zone. Mountain View picked up its second consecutive conference win, defeating Episcopal 47-30.
Episcopal (0-7, 0-4) at No. 8 MAYFLOWER (7-0, 4-0): Winless Episcopal lost to Mountain View 47-30 as the team continues its search for its first win. Senior QB Turner Harbour (19-31 passing, 227 yards, 2 TDs; 20 rushing yards, 2 TDs) has accounted for 17 total touchdowns and 1,336 yards of total offense this season. Harbour connected with senior TE Ford Gill (6-76 receiving, 1 TD; 8 unassisted tackles, 4 assists, 2 TFLs) and junior WR Josh Martin (6-79 receiving, 1 TD; 4 tackles, 1 INT) for big plays on both sides of the ball. Mayflower’s defense has held opponents to 27 points all season. QB Carter Smith (12-18 passing, 171 yards, 1 INT; 2 rushing TDs), Trey Williams (28-133 rushing, 3 TDs) and Cade Crowdery (14-83 rushing) led on offense. Dakota Grief hit 4 of 5 extra-point attempts.
MELBOURNE (3-4, 0-4) at Yellville-Summit (0-7, 0-4): After starting the season 3-0, Melbourne has lost 4 in a row after a 3-0 start, falling to Atkins last Friday Night. Melbourne QB Abe Cooper (10-35 passing, 145 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs), Mason Wren (5-68 receiving, 1 TD), and Peyton Elms (2-41 receiving; 13 tackles) led the offense; Ty Gillihan (7 tackles) and Garrett Buchanan (7 tackles) anchored the defense. Winless Yellville-Summit lost to top-ranked Salem 66-8.

Osceola (2-5, 2-2) at No. 4 RIVERCREST (5-2, 4-0): Osceola picked up its second victory of the season, defeating Harrisburg 42-20 Friday night. Rivercrest is on a roll after a 1-2 start, remaining undefeated in conference play with a big win over Walnut Ridge Friday night. Jayden Ralph (10-16 passing, 188 yards, 4 TDs) led the Colts to victory, with standout contributions from ATH Buddah Harris (8-156 receiving, 4 TDs; 10 tackles, 1 INT) and RB Lexx Latham (28-231 rushing, 2 TDs). On defense, Tekylun Sanders (16 tackles, 2 FFs, 52-yard fumble recovery TD) and Lathan Bolden (16 tackles) anchored a dominant effort.
No. 12 NEWPORT (5-2, 3-1) at No. 16 Walnut Ridge (5-2, 3-1): Newport shut out Manila, improving to 3-1 in conference play. Walnut Ridge, also 3-1 in conference, fell to Rivercrest on Friday. Jace Blake (8-18 passing, 111 yards, 1 INT; 25-223 rushing, 2 TDs, 2 fumbles), Jasper Callahan (10-28 rushing, 1 TD, 1 fumble), and Carter Morse (11-71 rushing, 1 TD) led Walnut Ridge in a game that slipped away in the second half.
HOXIE (3-4, 2-2) at Harrisburg (2-5, 2-2): Hoxie defeated Piggott Friday night behind a dominant ground attack led by Robert Martinez (6-169 rushing, 2 TDs; 1 pick-six), Mack Slaughter (5-103 rushing, 2 TDs), and Dalen Barnhill (5-41 rushing, 1 TD). Harrisburg fell to Osceola despite strong performances from Jayvin Thomas (31-224 rushing, 2 TDs) and Grayson Harkey (21-71 rushing, 1 TD); Harrisburg totaled 307 rushing yards on 57 attempts with 3 touchdowns.
Piggott (0-7, 0-4) at MANILA (0-7, 0-4): Piggott suffered another setback against Hoxie, falling behind 28-0 in the first quarter. Noah Clements scored Piggott’s first touchdown in the second quarter, but the team trailed 47-6 at halftime. Piggott scored twice in the second half, but it wasn’t nearly enough in a 47-20 defeat. Manila suffered its second shutout, falling to Newport.

No. 7 GLEN ROSE (6-1, 4-0) at No. 20 Cutter Morning Star (5-2, 3-1): Glen Rose has yielded 27 points total in its 4-0 conference start. Austin Moreland (9 tackles, 1 TFL), Ace Best (8 tackles, 1 TFL), and Gavin Quantz (5 tackles, 3 TFLs) led the defense in a 42-6 win over Perryville. QB Gage Hood (13-23 passing, 218 yards, 3 TDs; 4-47 rushing, 1 TD) and Damien Stevens (3-92 rushing, 1 TD; 6-105 receiving, 1 TD) led the Glen Rose offense, helping the team amass 439 total yards and 6 touchdowns. Cutter Morning Star defeated Two Rivers to improve to 3-1 in conference, earning a spot in the top 20. QB Jacob Smith (14-15 passing, 318 yards, 4 TDs) led the offense; JaKavin Stegall (9-190 rushing, 3 TDs) is a key cog.
No. 18 PARIS (6-1, 4-0) at Magnet Cove (5-2, 3-1): Paris extended its win streak to 4 after an early-season loss to Booneville. Paris started fast and never looked back in its game against Jessieville Friday night. QB Josh Honea (18-22 passing, 349 yards, 5 TDs, 1 INT), led an offense that racked up 403 total yards and 6 TDs. Honea connected with Ty Farmer (7-150 receiving, 2 TDs), Jayden Carter (6-89 receiving, 2 TDs; 5 tackles, 1 INT), and Brock Barnhill (4-97 receiving, 1 TD) for big plays through the air. Joel Johnson (11 tackles), Dalton Farnam (9 tackles, 1 fumble recovery), Jude Rainwater (7 tackles), Harley Barnhill (4 tackles, 1 INT), Ty Farmer (1 INT), and Whitman Patton (5 tackles, 2 TFLs, 3 deflected punts) helped the team force turnovers and deliver a stout defensive performance in the victory. Magnet Cove picked up its third district win after an earlier loss to Glen Rose and has found offensive success in recent weeks, averaging 50 points per game.
DANVILLE (2-5, 1-3) at Jessieville (1-6, 1-3): Danville lost to Magnet Cove on the road and now looks ahead to another road challenge this week. The Little Johns produced on the ground, led by Gunner Wilkins (17-125 rushing, 2 TDs; 8 tackles), Jake Crane (18-165 rushing, 2 TDs; 7-10 passing, 105 yards, 1 TD; 11 tackles), and Christian Alcocer (17-90 rushing, 1 TD). Offensive lineman Ian Wright dominated with 5 pancake blocks; DT Leland Brown (7 tackles) anchored the front. Jessieville fell to Paris 41-12, totaling 254 offensive yards with 2 TDs but committing 4 turnovers — 3 passes intercepted and a lost fumble.
PERRYVILLE (1-6, 0-4) at Two Rivers (1-6, 0-4): Perryville, still winless in conference after losing to Glen Rose, has had several close defeats to give it hope here. Two Rivers won its opener but has been outscored 259-90 in the past 6 games. Drake Hess (12-140 rushing, 3 TDs) put on a show Friday in the loss to Cutter Morning Star, surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
7-3A
No. 3 BISMARCK (6-1, 4-0) at No. 13 Prescott (6-1, 4-0): Bismarck’s only loss, in overtime, came to undefeated Mansfield in Week 1. Bismarck has recorded 3 shutouts and outscored opponents 324-56. Friday night was no different, as Cayden Burch (5-6 passing, 78 yards, 1 TD; 50 rushing yards, 1 TD), Caedmon Keithley (4-112 rushing, 2 TDs), and Ethan Keithley (3-73 receiving, 1 TD) led the way. Prescott has outscored its opponents 209-41 since a week 2 loss to top-ranked Salem. Prescott’s 55-6 win over Parker’s Chapel was powered by a balanced offensive attack, led by Dalton Stockton (8-8 passing, 154 yards, 3 TDs), Owen Glass (2-34 receiving, 1 TD; 51-yard punt return TD), K.J. Page (5-79 rushing, 2 TDs), and Amario Monk (1-68 receiving, 1 TD). Kicker David Rabadan was 7 of 7 on extra-point attempts, helping Prescott secure a 55-6 victory. This game could ultimately decide the 7-3A conference champion.
Parker’s Chapel (0-7, 0-4) at No. 10 SMACKOVER (6-1, 3-1): Parker’s Chapel gained 83 total yards, allowing 241 yards as it remained winless. This week’s matchup is not a favorable spot. Smackover has won 2 in a row after a Week 5 loss to Bismarck. The team appears to have found its rhythm, outscoring its past 2 conference opponents 104-32.
Horatio (1-5, 1-3) at FOUKE (4-3, 1-3): Horatio fell to Smackover after earning its first win in Week 6. There were bright spots for Horatio, including Marvin Martinez (22 carries, 89 yards), Joseph Fonseca (10-35 rushing, 1 TD), and Isaiah Callahan (8 carries, 68 yards). Fouke won its first conference game, its first win since starting the season 3-0, fueled by standout performances from Cody Heflin (19-26 passing, 317 yards; 9-52 rushing, 1 TD), Joshua Scoggins (17-86 rushing; 4-63 receiving, 1 TD), and Grayson McAdams (9-177 receiving, 1 TD; 1 INT). Kicker Hayden Shermer was 6 for 6 on extra-point attempts, helping Fouke secure a 42-36 victory.
Harmony Grove OC (1-6, 1-3) at CENTERPOINT (3-4, 2-2): Harmony Grove OC’s shutout loss to Bismarck was its second loss in a row beating Fouke in Week 5. Centerpoint looks to bounce back after a hard-fought loss to Fouke. Dustin Cox, Tony Valdez, and Leo Hamilton stood out, but a last-minute touchdown by Fouke sealed the game.
8-3A
No. 11 FORDYCE (6-1, 3-1) at No. 9 Dumas (5-2, 4-0): Fordyce was stunned on the road, losing to Lakeside Lake Village. The victory marked Lakeside’s first conference win and it marked the third time the Redbugs have ever fallen to the Beavers. Dumas started the season 1-2, but it has won 4 conference games in a row. Its 36-26 victory over Palestine-Wheatley was powered by sophomore QB Kyle Young (12-20 passing, 258 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTs). Young connected with Marcus Kilgore (7-164 receiving, 3 TDs); Rashad Moore (22-187 rushing) dominated on the ground. Kentz Brown (10-45 rushing, 1 TD; 1-52 receiving, 1 TD) contributed on the ground and in the air. Jordan Kinney (11 tackles, 1 sack, 2 TFLs) anchored a stout defensive effort.
No. 17 MCGEHEE (4-3, 3-1) at Palestine Wheatley (4-3, 1-3): McGehee has won 3 in a row after a 1-3 start. A 1-point win over Barton gives McGehee a 3-1 conference record. Palestine-Wheatley has dropped 3 of 4 games after a 3-0 start to the season but looks to make a statement this week at home after suffering a 36-26 loss to Dumas. Brody Parker (8-14 passing, 183 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT; 8-67 rushing, 2 TDs), Adron Cooper (15-100 rushing, 1 TD), and Easton Vaccaro (3-101 receiving, 1 TD) led the offense.
No. 19 RISON (3-3, 2-2) at Lakeside Lake Village (3-4, 1-3): Rison went on the road to defeat Drew Central, earning its second conference win. This week, the Wildcats face another tough road test against Lakeside Lake Village, which defeated Fordyce for the first time in more than 20 years.
DREW CENTRAL (3-4, 2-2) at Barton (2-5, 0-4): Drew Central fought hard in its 44-38 loss to Rison and looks to bounce back this week against Barton, which enters off a 32-31 loss to McGehee. Barton QB Jack Sexton (16-27 passing, 320 yards, 3 TDs) connected with Quinteryon Wilson (5-159 receiving, 2 TDs; 8 tackles) and Christian Otey (7-101 receiving; 9 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 fumble recovery). Cameron Otey (9 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack) anchored a strong Barton defense.
