Arkadelphia 36, Lake Hamilton 28
PEARCY — Arkadelphia extended its winning streak to 15 games with a 36–28 comeback victory over Lake Hamilton on Friday night. The Badgers erased a 13-point third-quarter deficit behind running back Blake Moody’s three rushing touchdowns and quarterback Bryston McCoy’s late-game composure.
Lake Hamilton (1-2) opened fast. Senior quarterback Hudson Davenport hit Carson Jackson for a play-action touchdown, then Coy Autry scored twice on bruising runs behind linemen David Dalton and Eli Williams. Jackson electrified the Wolves’ crowd again with a punt-return touchdown that made it 28-15 midway through the third quarter. Sophomore JJ Johnson and defensive back DJ Wilson each intercepted passes to stall early Badger drives.
But Arkadelphia (3-0) responded with balance and big plays. McCoy connected with Orion Roberts on a 69-yard strike to cut the deficit, then found Quentavion Morris for the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter. Moody sealed the game with his third touchdown in the closing minutes. Roberts added a kickoff return and two key receptions, while Morris also powered in a two-point conversion earlier. Kicker Seth Molinari converted consistently to steady the Badgers.
Lake Hamilton’s effort was fueled by Jackson’s versatility and Autry’s tough running, but cramps and late turnovers opened the door for the Badgers’ rally. Arkadelphia’s defense, led by linebackers Malachi Hamilton and Morris, stiffened in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
