MAGNOLIA — Bauxite used a powerful ground game led by freshman quarterback Wyatt Foreman to defeat Magnolia 40–22 on Friday night at Panther Stadium.

Magnolia struck first with explosive special teams play. Ike Ainsworth returned a kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown, and senior defensive back Caleb Roach followed with a 59-yard interception return to give the Panthers a quick 14–7 advantage. Running back Tristan Morgan added a short-yardage touchdown run in the second quarter, pushing Magnolia ahead 22–14.

But Bauxite (2–1) took control behind Foreman, who rushed for over 120 yards and scored twice, including a 34-yard clinching touchdown run late in the fourth quarter. He also threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Emery Moore, who contributed two scores of his own and punished defenders with physical runs. Running back Kayton Mezer added key gains behind an offensive line anchored by SMU commit Evan Goodwin.

Magnolia (1–1) leaned on Morgan’s inside running, John Curry’s power bursts, and Ainsworth’s versatility, but four turnovers and costly cramps slowed the Panthers’ momentum. Defensively, linebacker Chev Johnson and lineman Elijah Broomfield made several key stops, while Roach’s early interception highlighted the secondary.

Bauxite’s time-of-possession dominance wore down the Panthers, who saw several starters battle cramps in the second half.
