Beebe 32, Nettleton 14 — Sept. 5, 2025, Raider Field (Jonesboro)
Non-conference • Beebe (1–1), Nettleton (1–1)

TL;DR: Short-handed Nettleton still flashed juice in the return game and got key takeaways, but Beebe’s downhill run game plus QB Ty McCormick’s dual-threat spark carried the Badgers in the second half. Old-school formula: field position, physical backs, and a quarterback who finishes drives.

Game flow

  • First half: Nettleton’s defense bowed up on the opening drive (stop at the 1), but a punt that glanced off a blocker set up Curtis Goodrich’s 2-yard TD. Another short field led to McCormick → Demarco Moore from 31 yards. Paul Sisk answered with a 79-yard kickoff-return TD to make it 14–6 at half.

  • Second half: The Raiders crossed midfield early behind Xavier “Zay” Harrell, but two more Beebe short fields turned into a Goodrich 1-yard TD and a McCormick 2-yard keeper. In the fourth, Marcus Jefferson hit Christian McDaniel (19 yards) and Calmarre Harrell ripped an 18-yard scoring run; Jefferson added the 2-point conversion. Beebe iced it when Kameron Johnson took a short pass 53 yards after the Badgers recovered the onside kick.

  • Context matters: Nettleton suited up without 13 players due to suspension from the Trumann game and a few more to injury, yet still stacked stops and explosive returns—exactly the kind of resilience you want in Week 2.
