Benton 63, Catholic 0

BENTON — Benton seized control from the opening series and never let go, blanking Catholic 63–0 behind a barrage of first-half touchdown passes from senior quarterback Drew Davis to senior receiver Will Carter. Benton led 49–0 at halftime and closed out the shutout after the break.

Davis repeatedly found Carter on timing routes and fades, with Carter hauling in five first-half touchdowns. Davis also hit senior receiver Karson Collatt for a score before intermission, and Benton’s defense added a pick-six to cap the opening onslaught.

After halftime, the Panthers leaned on the run game and special teams. Junior Gabe Wilbur handled the point-after duties and consistently drove kickoffs to the end zone, helping Benton control field position throughout.

Catholic had bright moments early. Junior Phillips Blair connected with junior Hunter Markham on a deep throw to cross midfield on the opening drive, and junior Stratton Robinson churned out several chain-moving runs behind Trey Cochran and the Rockets’ interior. Defensively, seniors Pate Capps and Evan Scott delivered open-field tackles, while senior Hayden Roaf added solid kickoff returns
