Two top-15 undefeated teams collide in central Arkansas this week in a matchup that could have major playoff implications within the 3-3A Conference. Quitman enters Week 7 outscoring opponents 281–112 and off to its best start since 2016, when the Bulldogs began 6–0 before dropping 4 of their final 5. Last week, they defeated Episcopal 65-20; this week will be a little more of a challenge. Mayflower boasts one of Class 3A’s best defenses, having allowed 21 total points this season, and an offense that’s averaging 48 points per game. Last week, the Eagles beat Melbourne 38-0 as QB Carter Smith (12-20 passing, 130 yards, 1 TD) spread the ball around to multiple targets, including Cameron Willis (7-85 receiving; 2-5 rushing, 1 TD) and Marcus Phillips (3-57 receiving, 1 TD). Treyvion Smith rushed 21 times for 162 yards and 3 TDs. Defensively, Jeremiah Fuller had 11 tackles, including 7 unassisted, 2.5 sacks and a safety. Advantage goes to Mayflower, with its lights-out defense and homefield advantage.

Lavaca (4-2, 2-1) at No. 6 CHARLESTON (5-1, 2-1): Lavaca fell 70-14 to No. 3 Mansfield last week and faces another tough matchup at Charleston. Carter Little (8-11 passing, 183 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT) led Charleston over Hackett. Little hooked up with Matteo Gaona (5-97, 1 TD) and had some help on the ground from RB Garred Smithson (7 carries, 70 yards, 2 TDs). The Tigers’ defense recorded 6 sacks in the 52-0 win.
Hackett (2-4, 0-3) at GREENLAND (1-5, 1-2): Both teams are looking to bounce back after shutout losses: Hackett (55-0 to No. 6 Charleston) and Greenland (42-0 to No. 7 Booneville). Tommy Ruiz (8 tackles) and Evan Griffin (interception) were bright spots for Hackett. Greenland owns homefield and the edge here.
Cedarville (1-5, 0-3) at No. 3 MANSFIELD (6-0, 3-0): Cedarville rushed for 340 yards in its last-minute 32-28 loss to West Fork, with Daniel Ramirez accounting for 236 of those yards. Jubal Parks (7-10 passing, 123 yards, 1 TD; 66 rushing yards, 1 TD) led Mansfield to a 70-14 over Lavaca. Andrew Burton (150 yards, 2 TDs) and Silas Burton (143 yards, 3 TDs) powered the ground game.
No. 7 BOONEVILLE (4-2, 3-0) at West Fork (1-5, 1-2): Booneville started fast in its 42-7 win over Greenland, earning its fourth straight victory. The Tigers’ offense was powered by Carson Jones (31-49 passing, 454 yards, 5 TDs), Robbie Preston (10 receptions, 232 yards, 2 TDs), and Will Preston (7 receptions, 86 yards, 2 TDs). Tyler Ames recovered 2 fumbles and had an interception. West Fork won its first game last week, scoring in the final minute to win on the road over Cedarville.

No. 20 Melbourne (3-3, 0-3) at No. 16 ATKINS (5-1, 2-1): Atkins came up just short in a 20-14 loss to No. 1 Salem, giving the top-ranked team its toughest test of the season. Melbourne suffered a shutout loss to Mayflower. Abe Cooper (7-14 passing, 34 yards) led the offense; Ty Gillihan (11 total tackles) and Cole Hennessey (1 sack, 1 forced fumble) anchored the defense.
Yellville-Summit (0-6, 0-3) at No. 1 SALEM (6-0, 3-0): Yellville-Summit fell last week, but QB Wyatt Gilley (22-36 passing, 256 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT; 7-48 rushing, 1 TD) continues to make plays for the Panthers. Gilley connected with Easton Voight (8 receptions, 93 yards, 1 TD), Noah Cantrall (6 receptions, 103 yards, 2 TDs), and Brenden Arki (1 reception, 5 yards, 1 TD) for passing touchdowns. RB Eli Gerth (15 carries, 118 yards, 1 TD) also had a strong game. Salem remained undefeated as Kaden Brinks (21 carries, 92 yards, 2 TDs) had another strong performance for the Greyhounds. Salem also received contributions from Jackson Taylor (6-15 passing, 89 yards, 1 TD; 12 carries, 72 yards) and Cole Steman (2 receptions, 36 yards, 1 TD).
MOUNTAIN VIEW (2-4, 1-2) at Episcopal (0-6, 0-3): Mountain View earned its first conference win, beating Yellville-Summit. Episcopal lost 64-20 to Quitman, falling short on both sides of the ball. Both teams will look to regroup and make adjustments.

No. 4 Rivercrest (4-2, 3-0) at No. 14 WALNUT RIDGE (5-1, 3-0): Jayden Ralph (10-13 passing, 249 yards, 3 TDs) led Rivercrest over Hoxie. Ralph connected with versatile Buddah Harris (6 receptions, 107 yards, 2 TDs; 1 rushing TD; 7 tackles, 1 INT) and all-around back Lexx Latham (3-116 receiving, 1 TD; 12 84 rushing; 10 tackles) to fuel the offense. Demarius Facon (16 tackles) and Lathan Bolden (15 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack) anchored the defense. Walnut Ridge beat Piggott 69-8 behind QB Jace Blake (6-6 passing, 133 yards, 3 TDs; 3-54 rushing, 1 TD), Jasper Callahan (2- 41 rushing, 1 TD; 1 reception, 24 yards) and Jersie Cunningham (3-75 receiving, 3 TDs).
Manila (0-6, 0-3) at No. 12 NEWPORT (4-2, 2-1): Manila fell to Harrisburg last week 34-8 and faces another tough matchup at Newport. Trevion Greer (31-216 rushing, 2 TDs; 2.5 tackles) sparked Newport offensively in its win over Osceola. “I’m proud of the entire team,” Coach Brian Reardon said. “This was our most complete game of the year, with all 3 facets of the game clicking against a good opponent.”
HOXIE (2-4, 1-2) at Piggott (0-6, 0-3): Hoxie came within a touchdown of fourth-ranked Rivercrest. The Mustangs leaned on their rushing attack, led by Robert Martinez (16-138), Mack Slaughter (17 -70), and Dylann Barnhill (13-29, 3 TDs). Piggott lost to Walnut Ridge 69–8 last week and things don’t get too much easier here.
Harrisburg (2-4, 2-1) at OSCEOLA (1-5, 1-2): Grayson Harkey (19-133 rushing, 1 TD) and Jayvin Thompson (12-99 rushing, 2 TDs) led the Hornets to another victory. Blayton Ballew (6 tackles, 1 FF, 1 fumble recovery, 1 INT) and Remington Rapert (1 INT) made key plays on defense to secure the road win. Osceola suffered another conference loss, marking a setback from last year’s 10-win season.

Perryville (1-5, 0-3) at No. 8 GLEN ROSE (5-1, 3-0): Perryville QB Tanner Frith (14-34 passing, 205 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs; 14-42 rushing) led a Mustangs’ fourth-quarter comeback that fell short in a 19–14 loss to Paris. Frith connected with Hoyt Howard (6-95 receiving, 1 TD) and Ryan Ross (2-58 receiving, 1 TD) to fuel the offense. Defensive contributions came from Jesse Judy (1 INT), Braxton Collins (15 tackles), and Noah Grissaffe (3 tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 sack). Glen Rose moved to 3-0 in conference, highlighted by a stellar defensive effort led by Gavin Quantz (9 tackles, 4 TFLs, two sacks, 1 FF, and a sack for a safety) and Leyton Baldwin (8 tackles, 2 TFLs, INT., and a scoop-and-score TD). Quarterback Gage Hood (13-25 passing, 175 yards, 1 TD; 12-56 rushing, 2 TDs) led the offense. Damien Stevens returned 2 punts for TDs from 76 and 99 yards.
Jessieville (1-5, 1-2) at No. 18 PARIS (5-1, 3-0): Jessieville fell to No. 8 Glen Rose last week 49-14 and faces another tough assignment at Paris. Josh Honea (21-32 passing, 307 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT) led Paris to a hard-fought Friday night victory over Perryville, holding on after a 19–0 lead at the start of the fourth quarter. Honea connected with Jayden Carter (10-181 receiving, 1 TD; 8 tackles, 2 PBUs) and Ty Farmer (3-84 receiving, 2 TDs). Joel Johnson (9 tackles), Whitmans Patton (7 tackles), Harley Barnhill (1 INT), and Dalton Farnam (1 INT) made key plays to secure the road win.
Danville (2-4, 1-2) at MAGNET COVE (4-2, 2-1): Gunner Wilkins (16 carries, 110 yards, 2 TDs) and Jake Crane (28-117 rushing; 2-8 passing, 19 yards, 1 INT) led Danville in its 35-14 loss to Cutter Morning Star. Magnet Cove improved to 2-1 in conference play with a 47–29 road victory over Two Rivers.
Two Rivers (1-5, 0-3) at CUTTER MORNING STAR (4-2, 2-1): Two Rivers fell to Magnet Cove 47-29 last week and faces another tough matchup at Cutter Morning Star, which rebounded from a 38–7 loss to Paris with a 35–14 conference win over Danville. Cutter Morning Star has been led by Jacob Smith, Jakavin Stegall, and Cheston Honeycutt as it aims for its third conference victory.

Harmony Grove OC (1-5, 1-2) at No. 5 BISMARCK (5-1, 3-0): Harmony Grove OC rushed for 92 yards in its 45-8 loss to Prescott. Bismarck overpowered Fouke to remain undefeated in conference play. The Lions, looking to go 4-0 in conference, have been led by Caedmon Keithley, Cayden Burch, and Preston Hughes.
No. 10 SMACKOVER (5-1, 2-1) at Horatio (1-4, 1-2): Smackover beat Centerpoint 42-24 to improve to 2-1 in conference. Horatio beat Parkers Chapel for its first win, led by strong offensive performances from Isaiah Caldron (4-26 rushing; 3-71 receiving, 1 TD), Marvin Martinez (18-107 rushing), Isaiah Samuels (3-4 passing, 71 yards, 1 TD), and Joseph Fonseca (5-41 rushing, 1 TD).
No. 15 PRESCOTT (5-1, 3-0) at Parker’s Chapel (0-6, 0-3): Prescott outgained Harmony Grove OC 296-92 in its win last week. QB Dalton Stockton (13-20 passing, 194 yards, 4 TDs) connected with Owen Glass (3-65 receiving, 1 TD), Wes Cornelius (2-23, 1 TD), Roderick McKinney (2-67, 1 TD), and Sean Tribbet (2- 27, 1 TD; 1 INT). Keimon Benton returned an interception 44 yards for a TD, and Zykese Sorrells scored on a 30-yard fumble recovery, helping secure the road victory. Parker’s Chapel fell to Horatio 14-8 last week.
Fouke (3-3, 0-3) at CENTERPOINT (3-3, 2-1): Fouke fell to Bismarck 67-14 last week and is still searching for its first conference win after starting the season 3-0. Dustin Clark caught 2 TD passes, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, and defended a pass in Centerpoint’s 35-14 loss to Smackover. Leo Hamilton and Hayden Dodson (7 tackles each) and Duncan McNally (6 tackles, 1 sack) led the Centerpoint defense.

No. 2 FORDYCE (6-0, 3-0) at Lake Village Lakeside (2-4, 0-3): Fordyce is averaging 41 points per game and has recorded 4 shutout victories this season. Last week, Palestine-Wheatley became the first team to score a touchdown on Fordyce’s defense since Week 1. Lakeside Lake Village fell to Drew Central 35-4 and faces another tough test against Fordyce.
No. 9 DUMAS (4-2, 3-0) at Palestine Wheatley (4-2, 1-2): Kyle Young (13-24 passing, 168 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT), Rashad Moore (19-196 rushing, 2 TDs), and Kentz Brown (9-86 rushing, 1 TD, 1 fumble) led the Bobcats’ to a road victory over Barton. Dashawn Norah (5 tackles, 2 TFLs, 2 sacks) and Keon Chaffin Jr. (5 tackles, 2 TFLs, 2 sacks) anchored the defense. Palestine-Wheatley fell to Fordyce, marking its second conference loss. Maddox Hoggart scored the team’s lone touchdown on a 30-yard run.
No. 17 MCGEHEE (3-3, 2-1) at Barton (2-4, 0-3): McGehee beat Rison 30-24 to pick up its second conference win after falling to Drew Central a few weeks ago. The team looked like a different squad, battling to a 24-24 tie in regulation before winning in double overtime. Barton fell to Dumas, dropping its third consecutive conference game. Barton was led by Jack Sexton (348 passing yards, 2 TDs), Qulan Green (5-104 receiving; 8 tackles, 2 TFLs, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one sack), and Christian Williams (7-126 receiving, 2 TDs).
No. 19 RISON (2-3, 1-2) at Drew Central (3-3, 2-1): Rison lost its second game in a row, falling in double overtime to McGehee. Kyson Walker (110 rushing, 2 TDs) and Jaquis Rauls added another rushing score. Drew Central picked up another conference win over Lakeside Lake Village, powered by Tyviance Wormley (9-158 rushing, 2 TDs). Blake Chandler recorded 2 interceptions, including a 107-yard Pick-Six.
