The winner gets the conference championship. Stuttgart won consecutive conference titles in 2020 and 2021, while Hamburg hasn’t won a conference championship since 1997.
Hamburg has won its 6 conference games by an average of 55-23. Senior Ni’kel Lewis ran 20 times for 201 yards and 4 touchdowns in last week’s 42-7 win over DeWitt, and senior Ke’Ovion Brown caught 8 passes for 120 yards and 1 TD. Junior 3-year starting QB Kaeden Thomas has been a dual-threat talent all season. “We have to eliminate their big plays,” Stuttgart Coach Josh Price says. “If they are in 3rd-and-short, we are in trouble.”
Stuttgart has outscored 6 conference opponents by an average score of 53–28. Junior QB Cain Price (12-12 passing, 332 yards, 4 TDs) led Stuttgart’s 42-7 win at Star City. RB Jeremiah Thomas (2 TDs) and receivers QT Johnson (4-145-2) and Hayden Prine (3-67-1) were offensive cogs; Beau Barnes recorded a sack. “They are dangerous; we have to keep their playmakers in front of us,” Hamburg Coach Blake Johnson says.

Huntsville (4-5, 3-3) at No. 2 ELKINS (8-1, 6-0): Elkins is the conference champion and top playoff seed after beating Gravette last week 21-16. Senior QB Ben Napier started for the first time since Week 6, passing for 171 yards and 1 TD and running for 2 TDs. Senior Connor Hamm (142 yards rushing) and WR Brad Walker caught 6 passes for 89 yards. DB Josh Hamm (4 tackles); LB Cason Roten (3 tackles, 1 sack) led the defense. Huntsville is No. 5 seed regardless of what happens in this game after beating Green Forest in overtime last week.
GRAVETTE (7-2, 5-1) at Gentry (7-2, 4-2): Both teams must bounce back from tough losses last week (Gravette lost to Elkins 21-16, Gentry to Prairie Grove 52-50). Gravette finishes as the No. 2 seed with a win, and Gentry can get the No. 2 seed if it wins by at least 4 points. Gravette junior QB Hudson Harris passed for 210 yards vs. Elkins and junior Gage Bottorff (4-137 receiving) led the offense. Junior Payton Burnett (16 tackles, including 2 sacks) and Cade Phillips (3 tackles, 1 interception) led on defense. Gentry senior QB Talan Williams passed for 524 yards and 6 TDs and ran for 1 TD vs. Prairie Grove. Jaxson Holt (7-155), CJ Bolinger (7-102, 3 TDs) and Owen Foreman (4-50, 2 TDs) were the top receivers; Ethan Meyers (17 tackles) and Phillips Thompson (16 tackles) were defensive leaders.
Berryville (4-5, 1-5) at GREEN FOREST (3-6, 1-5): Berryville has won 15 of the past 24 Carroll County Feuds, but Green Forest has won the past 2 games by a combined 34 points. Berryville snapped a 12-game 1-4A losing skid with last week’s 31-15 win over Lincoln. QB CT Hicks passed for 147 yards and 3 TDs, and ran for 70 yards. Jason Alvarado (18-157 rushing, TD) and Andre Esparza (4-62 receiving, TD) contributed. LB Josh Arechiga (13.5 tackles, including 2 sacks) led the defense. Green Forest will miss the playoffs after last week’s 37-34 overtime loss at Huntsville. Gabe Serna (125 rushing, TD) led Green Forest offense against Huntsville; Jace Heade (18 tackles) and Hayden Hatman (8 tackles, 1 interception) played well on defense.
Lincoln (2-7, 0-6) at PRAIRIE GROVE (4-5, 4-2): Prairie Grove probably finishes as the No. 3 or 4 seed after starting the season 0-3 (could finish as the No. 2 seed with a win and a Gentry win by 3 points or fewer). Prairie Grove ran for 423 yards in last week’s 52-50 win at Gentry, led by Elijah Sugg (255 yards, 2 TDs) and Blake Coughran (161 rushing, 2 TDs). QB Isaac Moss’ only completion went 19 yards to Coughran for a critical TD. Lincoln trailed Berryville 14-7 in the fourth quarter last week before losing 31-15. The Wolves have dropped 7 consecutive conference games.

No. 13 Mills (8-1, 5-1) at No. 15 LONOKE (7-2, 6-0): The winner gets the conference championship. Mills trailed CAC 21-20 at halftime last week, but used a pick-6 by Jameson Parker and 15 second-half first downs to pull away 47-21. Sophomore QB Kingston Burnett (6-12, 82 passing in the second half) gave the Comets a 26-21 advantage with a TD to WR Chase Slater (5-106 receiving. 3 TDs). Sophomore QB Elijah Moody had 7 carries for 86 yards and threw 2 TDs before leaving the game with an injury at halftime. Lonoke remained unbeaten in league play with last week’s 44-6 win over Hall Steam. QB Dylan Dean has passed for 1,587 yards and 15 TDs this year. Darrius Jeffery (28-364, 3 TDs) and D’Mareon Eason (28-498, 4 TDs) are the top receivers. Jeffery has returned 3 kicks for TDs this season. Ryder Ingle averages 8.7 yards per carry, 41 yards per punt and has 69 tackles this season, and Jonathan Hixson averages 16.4 yards per catch and has 58 tackles.
Hall Steam (0-9, 0-6) at BALD KNOB (2-7, 1-5): Neither team will make the playoffs. Bald Knob snapped a 13-game conference losing streak with last week’s 46-13 victory over Riverview. Hall Steam lost to Lonoke 44-6 last week, and the Warriors have scored 18 points this fall.
FORREST CITY (5-4, 4-2) at Central Arkansas Christian (3-6, 3-3): Both teams are in the playoffs (Forrest City can finish as high as the No. 3 seed, and CAC can finish as high as the No. 4 seed).
CAC WR Andrew Lowe caught a 49-yard TD pass, and sophomore QB Jackson Plumlee ran for 2 TDs in last week’s 26-point loss at Mills. Forrest City improved its playoff positioning with last week’s 52-28 win over Heber Springs. WR Vonterrious Williams (2-121 receiving, 2 TDs; 61-yard kickoff return TD and Kevin Young (163 passing, 2 TDs; 149 rushing, TD) led the Forrest City offense.
HEBER SPRINGS (5-4, 4-2) at Riverview (1-8, 1-5): Heber Springs is in the playoffs and settles anywhere between the No. 2 and 4 seed. They lost a chance at the league title with last week’s 52-28 loss to Forrest City. The Panthers were outscored 44-14 in the final 3 quarters. Aiden Isom ran 24 times for 134 yards and 2 TDs; DE Dyce Young made 13 stops, including 4 TFL. Riverview lost to Bald Knob 46-13 last week, and the Raiders have scored 32 points this season.

No. 7 GOSNELL (9-0, 6-0) at Jonesboro Westside (1-7, 0-5): Undefeated Gosnell has won 21 of the past 23 meetings over Jonesboro Westside. The Pirates are conference champs and the No. 1 seed, no matter what happens. They didn’t play last week (due to Cave City cancelling season in August, and will get a first-round playoff bye next week, meaning they’ll go 3 weeks with only this game). Pirates RB Mason Woods played well in the Week 8 win over Southside.
No. 16 Blytheville (6-2, 4-1) at No. 11 SOUTHSIDE (8-1, 4-1): The winner gets the No. 2 seed, and the loser finishes as the No. 3 seed. Blytheville senior RB Courtney Rogers ran for 97 yards and 1 TD, and senior Johmir Guyton (4-44 receiving, TD) led the offense in last week’s 21-20 victory over Pocahontas. Junior DB Jatavion Wilson intercepted 2 passes, returning 1 for a TD. Senior safety Trevon Orr (14 tackles), junior DE Trey Lewis (12 tackles) and junior LB Xzavion Liddell (12 tackles) were defensive leaders. Southside lost to Gosnell in Week 8 but bounced last week with a 41-8 win at Trumann. Senior Owen McLaughlin ran for 3 TDs; senior Braden Simpson caught 2 TD passes and made 11 tackles at LB.
HIGHLAND (4-5, 2-3) at Pocahontas (4-4, 2-3): The winner claims the No. 4 seed, loser is the No. 5 seed. Highland QB Izaac Hilton completed 13 of 15 passes for 130 yards and 3 TDs in last week’s 48-0 win over Jonesboro Westside; freshman Webb Munroe led the defense with 8 tackles, including 3 sacks. Pocahontas junior Xavyer Ballard ran a mind-blowing 44 times for 240 yards and 2 TDs in last week’s 21-20 loss at Blytheville. Payne Swann led the Redskins defense with 10 tackles.

No. 1 DARDANELLE (9-0, 6-0) at No. 19 Mena (6-3, 3-3): Dardanelle secured a share of the league title and top playoff seed after last week’s 40-0 win over Pottsville. Senior QB Creed Vega passed for 304 yards and 4 TDs, ran for 85 yards and 1 TD and made 5 stops on defense. Seniors Rod Chaten (6-120-2), Bo Miller (6-74) and Jordan Earnest (2 TDs) were the top receivers. Senior 2-way lineman Paden Davis earned an 85-percent blocking grade, and made 10 tackles (5 TFL, 1 sack) on defense, and Gabe Burris earned an 86 percent blocking grade and made 8 tackles. CB Kentrell Diggs made 10 tackles and 1 interception. Mena likely finishes as the No. 5 seed after last week’s 41-6 loss to Clinton.
No. 9 CLINTON (8-1, 5-1) at No. 12 Ozark (7-2, 5-1): The winner gets the No. 2 seed, loser is the No. 3 seed. The Yellow Jackets ran for 355 yards and 5 TDs in last week’s 41-6 victory at Mena, including a 185-yard, 2-TD effort by senior Rylan Jones and 134 yards and 3 TDs from FB Zach Hunt-Gonzalez. Clinton’s defense allowed 220 yards. Hunt-Gonzalez made 9 stops, while Kaleb McCarver had 7 tackles and 1 interception. Ozark led Lamar 44-0 in the second quarter last week before winning 47-0. Junior Easton Fox ran for 2 TDs, and sophomore John Skolarski had 6 carries for 84 yards. Senior Caeden Rosson (8 tackles), sophomore Kanyon Connelly (7 tackles) Skolarski and junior Deacon Gage (6 tackles) each recorded interceptions.
Waldron (1-7, 1-5) at LAMAR (3-6, 1-5): Neither team can make the playoffs. Lamar senior Eli Jones returned from injury last week to record 20 tackles in a 47-0 loss to Ozark. The Warriors were held to 116 yards on offense. Waldron ended a 14-game losing streak with last week’s 20-point win over Dover. Junior RB/LB Jaxson Brown (16-160 rushing, 3 TDs; 14 tackles) and QB Austin Hudson (64 yards passing, 2-35 receiving, 50 yards rushing, 2 TDs; 5 tackles). Jon Boggess (9 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble) led Waldron’s defense.
POTTSVILLE (5-4, 3-3) at Dover (0-9, 0-5): Pottsville locks up the No. 4 seed with a win or a Mena loss. The Apaches lost 40-0 to Dardanelle last week, the first time they’ve been shut out since the 2023 opener. Cort Johnson tallied 107 yards. Dover led Waldron in the second quarter last week before losing 34-14, their 10th consecutive loss.

Genoa Central (1-8, 0-6) at No. 3 NASHVILLE (7-2, 6-0): Nashville has locked up the No. 1 seed. Junior RB Bryce Perrin (160 yards, 2 TDs) and sophomore QB Jacoby Hopson (176 rushing yards, 1 TD) fueled a 42-14 victory last week at Malvern. LB Abari Williams (10 tackles) and DE Makhi Johnson (8 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble) led a defense that held Malvern to 39 yards rushing.
Malvern (4-5, 3-3) at No. 4 ARKADELPHIA (8-1, 5-1): Arkadelphia has won 5 of the past 7 conference titles, but will finish as the No. 2 seed this fall due to its 1-point loss to Nashville in Week 4. Malvern is likely to finish as the No. 5 seed. The Badgers have beaten Malvern 15 of the past 24 meetings. Malvern ran for 39 yards in last week’s 28-point loss to Nashville. Arkadelphia’s Caden Whitaker (5-42 rushing, 2 TDs) and defensive wizard turned WR Skyler McClure (2-37, 1 TD) led the Badgers in last week’s 63-0 win at Genoa Central. Arkadelphia scored a defensive TD, and returned 2 punts and 2 kickoffs for TDs.
HG Haskell (4-5, 2-4) at No. 10 BAUXITE (7-2, 4-2): Bauxite finishes as the No. 3 seed no matter what happens; Haskell is out of the playoffs, even with a win. Bauxite freshman QB Owen Foreman accounted for 7 TDs (185 rushing yards, 3 TDs, 12-236 rushing, 4 TDs) in last week’s 72-44 win at Ashdown, and he’s generated 2,031 yards and 33 TDs this fall.
Ashdown (1-8, 1-5) at FOUNTAIN LAKE (5-4, 3-3): Fountain Lake, winners of 3 consecutive games, could finish as high as the No. 4 seed with a win. The Cobras haven’t posted 4 consecutive wins since 2017. Fountain Lake Coach Matt Richardson was head coach at Ashdown from 2010-2023, compiling a 79-64 record. Junior Peyton Harwood has 99 catches this season, and he’s returned interceptions for TDs on the final play of the first half in wins over Malvern and HG Haskell the past 2 weeks.

No. 8 WARREN (6-3, 4-2) at Crossett (2-7, 1-5) (Thurs.): Warren has won 13 of the past 14 meetings over Crossett. The Lumberjacks are the No. 3 seed this fall after losing 1-score games to Hamburg and Stuttgart. Warren junior QB Jackson Denton passed for 306 yards and 7 TDs in last week’s 58-26 win over Helena, throwing to junior Josiah Steen (5-111-4 TDs) and senior Bleyze Fellows (7-119-3 TDs) were the top receivers. Crossett’s Cash Forrest ran for 142 yards and 1 TD in last week’s 28-7 loss to Monticello; Jackson Mills made 14 tackles.
Star City (0-9, 0-6) at HELENA (4-5, 2-4) (Thurs.): Helena makes the playoffs with a win or DeWitt loss. Helena junior QB Maurice Pippen passed for 286 yards and 4 TDs, and Kenneth Gilcreast caught 8 passes for 109 yards and 1 TD in last week’s 58-26 loss at Warren. Star City rides a 15-game losing streak. The Bulldogs have beaten Helena 5 of the past 7 seasons, but lost last year 44-34.
MONTICELLO (4-5, 3-3) at DeWitt (5-3, 2-4): Monticello finishes as either the No. 4 or 5 seed, while DeWitt needs a win and Helena to lose (or win by 5 points or less) to make the playoffs. Monticello’s Jax Rawls caught 6 passes for 89 yards and 1 TD in last week’s 28-7 win over Crossett. DeWitt’s Terrell Dale returned a fumble for a TD in last week’s 43-8 loss at Hamburg. Senior Korri Graham ran for 178 yards and made 9 tackles; Landon Graham made 8 stops and broke up 4 passes.
