No. 16 Blytheville (4-1) at No. 12 GOSNELL (6-0)
This Mississippi County rivalry might determine the conference title and playoff seed this year. Blytheville rallied past Highland 26-14 last week as senior workhorse Courtney Rogers ran 16 times for 214 yards and 2 TDs, including the clincher in the fourth quarter. Junior QB Chad Bell threw a TD pass and made some key runs. Junior Szavion Liddell (11 tackles), senior Curtis Richardson (11 tackles), and sophomore Kamron Clay (10 tackles) led the Chickasaws’ defense. Gosnell totaled 423 yards in last week’s 63-12 win over Trumann. Sophomore J.D. Young ran for 128 yards and 5 TDs. Senior receiver Jai Jacobs (9-137-1 TD) and right tackle Thomas Reddick played well for the Pirates.

Elkins blasted Lincoln last week 83-6, scoring 3 defensive TDs. Brooks Williams led the Elks defense with 9 tackles and a forced fumble; Hunter Smith made 5 tackles, including 4 TFL, and recovered a fumble for a TD. Huntsville (2-4, 1-2) at GENTRY (5-1, 2-1): Gentry jumped on Green Forest 29-3 in the first half last week, cruising to a 44-9 decision. Senior QB Talan Williams passed for 194 yards and 2 TDs. Sophomore Semmie Guenther‘s only reception went 64 yards for a TD, while Noah Palaco (5-77) and Owen Foreman (4-44) also caught TDs. Senior safety Phillip Thomas and junior linebacker C.J. Bolinger led the Pioneers with 14 tackles each. Thompson also had 1 interception, while Titus Cable recovered a fumble and blocked a punt.
Green Forest (2-4, 0-3) at LINCOLN (2-4, 0-3): Both teams need a win to stay in contention for the No. 5 playoff spot. Green Forest QB Ryne Stone accounted for 88 yards in last week’s 44-9 loss to Gentry; Hadley Maybee ran for 1 TD. Jace Meador led the Tigers with 10 tackles. Lincoln fell behind Elkins 28-0 in the first quarter last week and lost 83-6. Lincoln committed 4 turnovers (3 that Elkins returned for TDs).

No. 13 MILLS (5-1, 2-1) at Riverview (1-5, 1-2): Riverview won 2 in a row over Mills in 2018-2019, but Mills mauled Riverview 63-7 a year ago. Mills recovered from a 3-point loss to Heber Springs in Week 5 to beat Forrest City last week 41-32. Riverview has dropped its past 2 conference games to CAC and Lonoke by a combined 124-6.
No. 20 LONOKE (4-2, 3-0) at Central Arkansas Christian (2-4, 2-1): CAC has won consecutive games after starting the season 0-4. The Mustangs beat Hall Steam 50-0 last week. Sophomore QB Jackson Plumlee (4-4 passing, 157 yards, 2 TDs) completed a 98-yard TD in the first quarter to Hudson Ritchie. Plumlee also ran for a TD, caught a TD pass, and on defense recorded 3 tackles, with 1 sack. QB Cooper Moseley passed for 187 yards and 3 TDs for the Mustangs, who have implemented a 2 QB system the past few weeks. Hoover Brogdon caught a TD pass. Lonoke junior Jonathan Hixson caught 2 passes for 76 yards and 1 TD, and he returned an interception for another TD in last week’s 62-6 win over Riverview. Junior QB Dylan Dean threw 2 TD passes, including 1 to Darrius Jeffrey, who also returned a punt for a TD; Josh Sherman ran for 80 yards and 2 TDs.
FORREST CITY (2-4, 1-2) at Bald Knob (1-5, 0-3): Forrest City hung with Mills last week before losing by 9 points. Senior Kevin Young ran for 161 yards and 2 TDs; seniors Roderick Tiswell, Frank Crutcher and Kennedy Johnson each caught TD passes. Bald Knob has lost its 3 conference games by a combined 131-25.
HEBER SPRINGS (3-3, 3-0) at Hall Steam (0-6, 0-3): Winless Hall Steam has been outscored by a combined 283-12 this season. Heber Springs hammered Bald Knob 49-13 a week ago as QB Lachlan Tubbs passed for 243 yards and 2 TDs, and caught a 21-yard TD pass. Dyce Young had 10 tackles and 3 sacks in the first half, and he has 8 sacks in the past 2 games. Eli Buffalo ran for 87 yards and 2 TDs, and recorded 7 tackles; Chuck Vinson finished with 8 stops.

No. 5 SOUTHSIDE (6-0, 2-0) at Highland (3-3, 1-2): Undefeated Southside beat Jonesboro Westside 57-10 a week ago. QB Trey Allen threw 3 TD passes and ran for a TD, while Owen McLaughlin scored twice (1 running, 1 receiving). Braden Simpson caught a TD pass and returned an interception for a TD. Highland’s Jimmy Jensen caught 2 TD passes and threw a 2-point conversion pass in last week’s 26-14 loss at Blytheville.
POCAHONTAS (2-3, 0-2) at Trumann (2-4, 1-2): Pocahontas used last week’s open date to heal injuries and prepare for the final month and a playoff push. RB Xavyer Ballard has rushed for 725 yards and 10 TDs this year; Ryder Baltz has 60 tackles. Trumann’s Arzell Rulford ran for 131 yards and a TD in last week’s 63-12 setback to Gosnell.

No. 1 DARDANELLE (6-0, 3-0) at Lamar (3-3, 1-2): Dardanelle stayed unbeaten last week when Kentrell Diggs blocked Clinton’s field-goal attempt late in the fourth quarter of a 26-24 decision. Diggs finished with 5 tackles and 1 interception. Kam Olson recorded 19 tackles; Breydin Hardy had 18 tackles and 1 fumble recovery. Senior QB Creed Vega ran for 144 yards and 3 TDs, passed for 120 yards and registered 10 tackles. Jesus Garcia made both field goals and extra points and had 4 tackles. Lamar dumped Dover 42-7 last week as senior QB Eli Jones ran for 144 yards and 2 TDs and passed for 112 yards and 2 TDs.
Dover (0-6, 0-3) at No. 9 CLINTON (5-1, 2-1): Clinton lost a heartbreaker at top-ranked Dardanelle last week, 26-24. Sam Standridge had 12.5 tackles and Kaleb McCarver had 9 tackles and 1 interception for Clinton. Dover has been outscored 304-46 this fall.
No. 15 Pottsville (4-2, 2-1) at No. 11 OZARK (5-1, 3-0): Ozark has won 7 of its 11 meetings over Pottsville, but the Apaches won 51-20 a year ago. The Hillbillies beat Mena 36-28 in double overtime last week. Sophomore John Skolarski ran for 102 yards and 2 TDs and passed for 67 yards and 1 TD. Senior Colton Rosson‘s only reception went 49 yards for a crucial big-play TD. Pottsville beat Waldron 46-12 a week ago.
MENA (4-2, 1-2) at Waldron (0-6, 0-3): Mena has beaten Waldron 29 consecutive times dating back to 1994 (Waldron won in a game that featured sleet and ice). Mena senior guard Max Rocha returned (missed 2 games with a back injury) in last week’s 36-28 double overtime loss vs. Ozark and finished with double-digit pancake blocks. Tripp Hensley ran for 2 TDs. Ryder House had 12 tackles and Chance Hughes intercepted 2 passes.

Ashdown (1-5, 1-2) at No. 3 NASHVILLE (4-2, 3-0): Nashville leads the all-time series 57-19, and has won 3 consecutive in this rivalry by a combined total of 69 points. Nashville beat Bauxite 27-12 last week, outgaining Bauxite 460-274. RB Tucker Dixon ran for 229 yards and 2 TDs; QB Jacoby Hopson ran for 130 yards and 1 TD and passed for 105 yards and 1 TD. Junior Bryce Perrin caught a TD pass and Abari Williams finished with 9 tackles.
No. 4 ARKADELPHIA (5-1, 2-1) at HG Haskell (4-2, 1-2): Arkadelphia has won all 5 of its meetings over HG Haskell, including last season 49-17. Caden Whitaker and Orion Roberts have played well for Arkadelphia’s offense; Skyler McClure has 16 tackles over the past 2 games. HG Haskell beat Genoa Central 48-8 a week ago.

Tyriq Hampton led the Eagles with 75 yards receiving.
Star City (0-6, 0-3) at No. 7 WARREN (4-2, 2-1): Star City hasn’t beaten Warren since 2019, with the Lumberjacks winning in overtime 3 years ago, and they’ve won the past 2 by a combined 85-14. Warren receivers Bleyze Fellows and Josiah Steen combined for 5 TDs in last week’s 67-54 loss at Hamburg, and they are among the top playmakers in Class 4A. Winless Star City has been outscored 278-95 this season.
No. 8 STUTTGART (6-0, 3-0) at Monticello (2-4, 1-2): Stuttgart beat Arkansas County rival DeWitt 56-28 last week, its second win in the past 4 meetings over the Dragons. The Ricebirds have outscored their 3 conference opponents by a combined 163-76. Junior Cain Price passed for 291 yards and 5 TDs and ran for 2 TDs vs. DeWit; Caiden Sims caught 2 TD passes. Keaton Byers (10 tackles) and Brilon Hogan registered 9 stops and intercepted 2 passes. Monticello picked up its first conference win last week, beating Star City 56-28. Joseph Acculus ran for 280 yards and 3 TDs; Jackson Hines caught 5 passes for 75 yards and 3 TDs. Ed Ramos racked up 10 tackles and 1 forced fumble.
Helena (3-3, 1-2) at No. 17 DEWITT (4-2, 1-2): DeWitt has won 5 of the past 7 in the series, including last year by 19 points. The Dragons must regroup after last week’s 56-28 loss to Arkansas County rival Stuttgart. “We played tough for 3 quarters but wore down with a lack of depth in the fourth quarter after some injuries to our linemen,” DeWitt Coach Jason Hathcock says. Korri Graham ran for 136 yards and 2 TDs and caught 4 passes for 70 yards. QB Xa Cx passed for 186 yards and ran for a TD. Helena beat Crossett 48-9 with RBs Keveahn Brown and sophomore Jeremiah Willis each running for 2 TDs. Ja’mahd Risper registered 5 TFL and 1 sack.
