Morrilton beat Joe T. Robinson in the 2005 playoffs en route to a state runner-up finish; Joe T. Robinson outscored Morrilton 89-14 when the teams were both members of the 5A Central in 2022-2023.
Morrilton advances after beating Hot Springs 34-27. Senior quarterback Maddox Berry threw a 5-yard touchdown pass with 36 seconds left to lift the Devil Dogs, who knocked down a Hot Springs pass in the end zone on the final play. Senior safety Jeremiah Smallwood intercepted 2 passes in the third quarter to spark Morrilton. Berry (187 yards passing, 3 TDs) connected often with senior Jamarcus Sandidge (10-118 receiving, TD). Asher Hogan (115 rushing yards, TD) and senior Keaton Robinson (101 rushing yards) led the ground game.
Joe T. Robinson advances to the quarterfinals after William Tait‘s 23-yard field goal with less than 1 minute left lifted the Senators past Farmington last week, 24-21. Joe T. Robinson senior Kevin “Deuce” Williams ran for 281 yards and 2 TDs in the first quarter before getting injured in the third quarter. QB Reece Simpson tied the game with a 12-yard TD pass to Josiah Warrior-Benson with 10 minutes remaining to tie the game. Junior Zach Compton recorded two sacks to help the Senators get the ball back and set up Tait’s kick.

South-3 HS Lakeside (9-3) at SOUTH-2 LR PARKVIEW (9-3): This is a rematch from Week 9, which LR Parkview won 24-22. The Patriots built a 21-7 halftime advantage, then won it on freshman Kaden Hernandez‘s 25-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. LR Parkview is in the semifinals for the fourth consecutive season after last week’s 21-17 win over Harrison, when the Patriots rallied from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit. QB Montrell Thompson ran 3 yards for the go-ahead TD with 1:06 left, then senior Kyrick Fulks added the 2-point conversion. Fulks caught 3 passes for 58 yards on Parkview’s winning drive. “He took the game over,” LR Parkview Coach Bobby Bolding says. “We jumped on his back and rode him to the win.” Thompson hit Fulks on a 9-yard TD pass with 29 seconds left before halftime to give Parkview some momentum despite facing a 10-7 deficit. Freshman Sadiq Goji ran 7 yards in the fourth quarter for the Patriots’ other TD. HS Lakeside knocked off previously undefeated Greenbrier 24-21 with Romeo Oseguera’s 27-yard field goal with 35 seconds left in the third quarter, providing the victory margin. Junior Peter Ohman (147 yards rushing, 3 TDs) was vital in helping HS Lakeside run the final 8:55 off the clock with methodical first downs. Senior QB Wally Wolcott (14-17 passing, 187 yards) and senior Drew Morgan (7-116 receiving) clicked through the air. Senior safety Luke Wrublesky (10 tackles), along with Chris Ford and Kavan Morgan (8 tackles each) led the defense.
