Joe T. Robinson has won 11 of the past 13 in the series. These teams played twice last fall, with the Senators winning 24-19 in Week 2, and HS Lakeside returning the favor 21-17 in the first round of the playoffs. The Senators beat Class 6A Jonesboro last week 34-33. Senior Kevin “Deuce” Williams carried Joe T. Robinson for the second consecutive week. Williams ran 17 times for 185 yards and 1 TD and made 7 tackles on defense. Junior QB Reece Simpson passed for 127 yards and 2 TDs, while junior WR Hakim Frampton caught 3 passes for 61 yards, including a 48-yard TD. Senior linebackers Jackson Redman (19 tackles) and Isiah Reese (16 tackles) led the defense, while Lennox Campos made 16 stops, including 1 sack.
HS Lakeside has beaten Class 6A Lake Hamilton and Sheridan by a combined 64 points the past 2 weeks. Senior QB Wally Walcott passed for 323 yards and 4 TDs, including 6 passes for 186 yards and 2 TDS to senior Drew Morgan. Senior Tremendous Cain (7-77-1 TD) and junior Peter Ohman (15-53) led HS Lakeside’s rushing attack.
“We have to tackle better and cut down on penalties in the secondary,” Joe T. Robinson Coach Tyler Uptergrove says. “The team that wins the line of scrimmage is going to win the game.”

Joe T. Robinson (2-0) at HS LAKESIDE (2-0): Hootens.com Class 5A Game of the Week.
Vilonia (1-1) at MAUMELLE (0-2): Maumelle trailed No. 1 LR Parkview 14-7 at halftime last week before losing by 28 points. Jackson Hampton caught a TD pass for Maumelle, while brothers Jahlon Harris and Jordan Harris played well up front. Vilonia trailed Class 6A Sylvan Hills 40-0 at halftime last week before losing 46-14.
Pine Bluff (0-2) at CAMDEN FAIRVIEW (0-2): Pine Bluff hung with Kimball (Texas) last week, but lost 27-20 in overtime. The Zebras committed 4 turnovers and failed to score after halftime. Class 6A El Dorado beat Camden Fairview 43-27. Senior DE Zech Duhart and junior WR Dayton Browning played well, Coach Nick Vaughn says. The Cardinals had 2 TDs negated by a penalty. “Those would have been game-changers,” Vaughn says.
SEARCY (2-0) at Harrison (1-1): Searcy beat Harrison in 2002, and the teams didn’t play again until the Lions’ 35-32 triumph last fall. Harrison QB Gavin Jones passed for 188 yards and 2 TDs in last week’s 14-point loss at Class 6A Mountain Home. Searcy beat Valley View 37-27 last week. QB Jacob Mills (22-29-292 yards, 4 TDs) led the offense, while Jackson Smith and Will Manning each caught 2 TD passes. LB Kayden Hickman led the defense with 20 tackles and 1 sack. “Harrison’s linemen are big and physical,” Searcy Coach Zak Clark says. “On defense, they cause problems by stunting and bringing a lot of pressure.”
White Hall (0-2) at MORRILTON (2-0): This is the third meeting between these teams since 2022, with Morrilton winning twice, including last year, 34-12. Morrilton senior WR Jamarcus Sandidge caught 2 TD passes and returned a kickoff for another TD in last week’s 41-25 victory at Texarkana. Senior QB Maddox Berry threw 3 TDs, and Jeremiah Smallwood returned an interception 54 yards for a score. White Hall trailed Warren 28-0 last week, but woke up in the second half (didn’t allow a second-half score and stopped Warren in the red zone). QB Wyatt Golden hit Kel McEntire for an 18-yard TD pass (their 4th TD connection in 2 games).
BEEBE (1-1) at Greene County Tech (0-2): Beebe has won 10 of the past 11 in the series, including 45-6 last fall. The Badgers were held to 3 points in the opener vs. Vilonia, but they stormed back last week to claim a 32-14 win at Nettleton. Ty McMcCormick threw 1 TD pass and ran for another TD. Greene County Tech lost to Pocahontas 34-21 last week. GCT center/DT Alex Flores made plays on both sides of the ball, Coach Nathan Morgan says.
Watson Chapel (0-2) at Class 4A WARREN (1-1): Warren jumped on Class 5A White Hall 28-0 last week before holding on 28-14. Senior RB Aaron Davis ran for 2 TDs, and Jackson Denton (329 passing yards) threw an 86-yard TD pass to junior Josiah Steen (5-207 receiving). The Lumberjacks intercepted three passes, including one that Zechariah Bush returned for a TD. Watson Chapel lost to Crossett 42-22. Sophomore WR Jakilynn Battles (7-113-2 TDs) and junior center/DL Brian Madden (6 pancake blocks, three tackles) played well.
JACKSONVILLE (1-1) at Class 4A DeWitt (0-1): Jacksonville jumped on Lonoke 17-3 last week and held on for a 25-24 victory. Senior Matthew Goldsberry caught three passes for 43 yards and 1 TD, while Mason Ball ran for 176 yards and 2 TDs. OL N’Kyson Patterson and DL Breon Hammond both played well. DeWitt didn’t play last week after opening with a 38-15 win over CAC. “We have to find a way to establish the run game because they are good at stopping it,” DeWitt Coach Jason Hathcock says.

BEEBE (1-1) at Greene Co. Tech (0-2): See comment in 5A Central.
Class 6A West Memphis (0-1) at VALLEY VIEW (1-1): Valley View won 35-6 when these teams met for the first time last fall, but it figures to be closer this time. West Memphis lost to Hot Springs 57-20 2 weeks ago. Valley View lost to Searcy 37-27 last week. Carter Wallace led the Blazers, rushing for 160 yards and 1 TD, while Levin Manning caught five passes for 125 yards and 2 TDs.
Nettleton (1-1) at Class 4A BLYTHEVILLE (1-0): Nettleton has won 11 of the past 21 in the series, including last fall 26-20. The Raiders lost to Beebe 32-14 a week ago after several key players were suspended due to a brawl vs. Trumann in Week 0. Paul Sisk returned a kickoff 78 yards for a TD, while Desmond Copeland intercepted two passes. Blytheville opened its season last week with a 20-19 win over Osceola. Senior Courtney Rogers ran for 235 yards and 2 TDs and threw a 38-yard TD pass.
WYNNE (1-1) at Class 4A Lonoke (0-2): Wynne beat rival Forrest City 29-26 last week. Braydon Smith ran for 110 yards and 2 TDs, while Christian Wren had 86 yards and 2 TDs. Offensive linemen MJ Hodges, James Archer, West Fuller, and John Mills earned solid blocking grades, Coach Clay Totty says. Lonoke lost to Jacksonville by 1 point last week and to Stuttgart by 4 points in the opener. QB Dylan Dean passed for 354 yards and 3 TDs vs. Jacksonville, with junior D’Mareon Eason catching seven passes for 214 yards and 3 TDs. Jonathan Hixon led the defense with 14 tackles, while Graham Stuart had 12 tackles, one sack, and blocked a field goal.
Class 4A Central Arkansas Christian (0-2) at HARDING ACADEMY (0-1): Harding Academy trailed Class 6A Marion 44-0 in the second quarter last week before losing 51-7. Kam Riley scored Harding Academy’s only TD. CAC led Stuttgart 14-7 in the second quarter last week before losing 48-14. Eli Cash set a school record with a 99-yard TD run.
Class 4A SOUTHSIDE (2-0) at Batesville (0-2): Southside has won all 3 of its meetings over Batesville, the past two by a combined 72-17. The Southerners hammered Harrisburg 49-6 a week ago. QB Trey Allen tallied 190 yards, while RB Owen McLaughlin, a former Batesville player, ran for 84 yards. Batesville QB Cole Bentz passed for 169 yards and a TD, and ran for 2 TDs in last week’s 39-20 loss to Newport.
Brookland (0-1) at Class 4A POCAHONTAS (1-1): Brookland faces a 3-4A team for the second consecutive week after losing to Highland 26-20 last week. Senior RB Gabe Carter ran for 128 yards and 1 TD, while senior LB Easton Cunningham made six tackles. Pocahontas faces its second consecutive 5A East opponent after beating Greene County Tech 34-21 last week. QB Spencer James passed for 110 yards and 2 TDs, and ran for 91 yards. Junior RB Xavier Ballard ran for 238 yards and 3 TDs. Ryder Baltz paced Pocahontas’ defense with 13 tackles, and senior C/DL Carter Couch dominated on both sides.
PARAGOULD (2-0) at Class 3A Hoxie (1-1): Paragould is 2-0 for the second year in a row (1998 was the previous season it started 2-0). These teams meet for the fourth consecutive season, with Paragould’s 19-6 win last fall snapping a 2-game losing streak. Paragould beat Kennett, Mo., last week behind a balanced running attack. ZK Lanej ran for 67 yards and 2 TDs, Rayton Ysawa ran for 64 yards and 1 TD, while Reid Phillips added 58 yards and 1 TD. Avery Dearing scored 2 TDs for the Rams.

LR Parkview (1-0) at Class 7A BRYANT (2-0): Bryant has won 6 of the 7 meetings with LR Parkview in the past 25 years. Bryant beat Newton, Ga., 31-14 last week. Kollin Robinson (77 yards, 2 TDs) and T.J. Hodges (17-115) led Bryant’s rushing attack. The Patriots were up on Maumelle 14-7 at halftime last week, but broke open the game with 3 second-half TDs from senior WR Kyron Marshall.
Class 4A Bauxite (1-1) at MAGNOLIA (1-0): Bauxite beat Monticello 38-36 last week, outscoring the Billies 24-8 in the fourth quarter. Sophomore QB Sam Combs ignited the rally with a 35-yard TD pass, then Taylon Henderson ran for 2 TDs and a 2-point conversion. Bauxite’s expected QB, Elijah Perry, tore his ACL in the scrimmage game 3 weeks ago, but played 8 snaps against Monticello. He had surgery this week and will miss the rest of the season. Magnolia senior QB Walker Carter threw a 56-yard TD pass, and junior Jamaijah Marshall (18-177-1 TD) and senior Ike Ainsworth (11-104-1 TD) powered the rushing attack.
HOT SPRINGS (1-1) at Alma (1-1): Alma playmaker Samuel Schlegel willed the Airedales to a 29-22 win over Class 6A Siloam Springs last week. Schlegel scored 3 TDs (2 rushing, 1 receiving) and intercepted a pass in the fourth quarter to seal the game. Hot Springs beat West Memphis in the opener, but lost to Class 4A No. 2 Arkadelphia last week 38-34, after leading in the fourth quarter. Hot Springs QB Shedrick “Bishop” Allen passed for 418 yards and 5 TDs, with Jamarcis Morning catching 8 passes for 179 yards and 1 TD. Gabe Jaime added 11 catches, 155 yards, and 3 TDs. Jayden Meadows led the defense with 12 tackles and 1 sack.
Texarkana, Arkansas High (0-2) at Class 6A EL DORADO (1-1): Texarkana’s Xavier Crawford returned an interception for a TD in last week’s 41-25 loss to Morrilton. El Dorado forced 3 turnovers in last week’s 43-27 win at Camden Fairview.
Hope (0-1) at Class 4A ASHDOWN (0-1): Former Hope defensive coordinator Eryc McCaslin led Ashdown to a 12-point win over the Bobcats last fall. Ashdown has won 13 of the past 20 in the series. Ashdown junior Bryson French returned the opening kickoff 89 yards for a TD, then caught a 23-yard TD pass to put Ashdown up 12-0 at Mills last week. Mills scored the final 43 points. Hope lost at Nashville 47-20 last week.
DE QUEEN (1-1) at Class 2A Lafayette Co. (1-0): De Queen beat Horatio 42-7 last week, its first win in 50 weeks. De Queen led 35-0 in the second quarter. The Leopards ran for 300 yards, led by Luis Sotelo (7-97-2) and Landon Wise (6-77-1).

FARMINGTON (1-1) at Class 4A Prairie Grove (0-1): These rivals have split the past 24 meetings, with Farmington notching a 28-8 win last fall. Prairie Grove Coach Danny Abshier was an assistant for current Farmington Coach Tommy Tice at Harrison in the 1990s. Farmington jumped on Class 7A Har-Ber 14-0 last week before senior QB Ayden Lester injured his knee. Lester threw an 80-yard TD pass and ran 16 yards for a TD before his injury. Prairie Grove, which has had 3 defensive coordinators in the past year, gave up 42 points in last week’s 34-point loss to Tahlequah (Okla.) Sequoyah.
Class 6A Van Buren (1-1) at GREENBRIER (2-0): Greenbrier continues to impress, winning at Class 6A Russellville last week 41-5. QB Jack Palmer threw 4 TDs and ran for another, as the Panthers outgained Russellville 362-140 yards. Trendon Moseley caught 3 passes for 97 yards and 2 TDs, while Salter Mahan added 3 receptions, 77 yards, and 1 TD. Lucas Thompson hauled in a 77-yard TD pass.
Pea Ridge (0-2) at Class 6A SILOAM SPRINGS (0-1): Siloam Springs beat Pea Ridge by 7 points last fall, the first time these neighbors played. The Panthers lost at Alma 29-22 a week ago. Siloam Springs QB Titus Benson, RB Ryan Esacio, and RB Mason Short ran for Panther TDs. Pea Ridge held Gentry to 198 yards but lost 7-3 last week.
Clarksville (0-1) at Class 4A POTTSVILLE (1-1): Clarksville didn’t play last week and lost to Ozark 46-14 in the opener 2 weeks ago. The Panthers gained 21 yards in the first half vs. Ozark. Denver Pickartz led the Panthers with 9 carries, 77 yards, and 1 TD, and caught 2 passes. Ben Holland led the defense with 4 tackles, including 1 sack. Pottsville must recover from last week’s 42-7 loss at Charleston. Weston Pool paced the Apaches with 5 catches, 101 yards, and a TD. But the Apaches committed 5 turnovers. “It was rough, we can’t do that and win games,” Coach Bryan Rust says.
