LITTLE ROCK — Joe T. Robinson leaned on its stars and a swarming defense to claim a 42-0 win over Maumelle and wrap up the 5A‑Central title Thursday at Charlie George Stadium. Senior Kevin “Deuce” Williams powered the Senators with three first‑half rushing touchdowns, while Texas A&M pledge Hakim Frampton flipped momentum with a 100‑plus‑yard interception return late in the second quarter. Linebacker Jackson Redman added a fumble‑return score as Robinson built a 35‑0 halftime lead.

Quarterback Reece Simpson kept Robinson balanced, hitting Jaiden Todd and Charles Petty on timely throws to loosen the box, and defensive linemen Lennox Campos and Matthew Moka fueled a constant pass rush. Kicker William Tait converted all six extra points.

Maumelle moved the ball in spurts. Quarterback Levi Warrior extended plays and found Christian Jackson and Jacob Henry on quick game and screens. Running back Marshaun Wiley flashed in space, and the Hornets’ defense produced highlights from edge Patrick Ward, tackle Jordan Harris and linebacker Bryce Mooney, who recovered a late fumble near midfield. But penalties and two first‑half turnovers undercut promising possessions, and Robinson’s team speed closed windows fast.

Both teams now turn to the playoffs: Robinson enters as a top seed, while Maumelle heads on the road after a strong regular season that included a six‑game win streak. With Henry’s toughness, Warrior’s dual‑threat ability and a healthier Jackson, the Hornets have the pieces to rebound quickly in Round 1. Discipline and ball security will headline the checklist in next week’s preparation work.
