Hamburg 67, Warren 53

HAMBURG — In a rivalry game turned track meet, Hamburg outpaced Warren 67–53 behind a dazzling night from senior running back Ni’kel Lewis, who powered the Lions with six rushing touchdowns and well over 300 yards on the ground. Junior Kaeden Thomas added a touchdown pass, two scoring runs, and even caught a trick‑play touchdown on the game’s opening snap, showcasing his two‑way value as Hamburg’s QB/FS.

Warren traded blows all night. Junior quarterback Jackson Denton sprayed the ball to an explosive receiver group as Josiah Steen and Bleyze Fellows ripped chunk gains and found the end zone, while senior back Aaron Davis churned out tough yards and multiple scores. Sophomore Tayshawn Edwards also struck early through the air.

Hamburg seized control with a 39–27 halftime cushion and answered each Lumberjack surge after intermission. Thomas hit Charles Mooney for a red‑zone strike, and Lewis’ cutback runs repeatedly flipped the field. Alberto Aguilar was steady on kicks, converting PATs and adding a late first‑half field goal. The Lions’ defense produced timely moments—Jace Harrington and Kyle Carpenter delivered drive‑ending stops—to prevent Warren from ever drawing level.

The win keeps Hamburg in the 4A‑8 race and snaps a recent run of Warren dominance in the series. Officially, the Lions claimed it 67–53.
