MAGNOLIA — In a wild 5A‑South shootout Friday, Hot Springs edged Magnolia 57–55 when junior kicker Erick Luna drilled a field goal in the final seconds. The Trojans (6‑1, 4‑0) had fallen behind 55–54 after senior CB/WR Kaleb Roach’s 32‑yard sprint and junior Kevin Cadena’s PAT, but senior quarterback Sedrick “Bishop” Allen steered a late drive to set up the winner.

Allen opened the scoring with a 19‑yard keeper and later tossed touchdowns to sophomore WR Gabe Jaime (32 and 3 yards) and senior WR Ja’Marcis Morning. He added a second rushing score in the fourth, while junior RB Antwon Berry punctuated drives with 39‑ and 1‑yard TD runs. Luna supplied the decisive kick to cap Hot Springs’ balanced night.

Magnolia’s flexbone punched back throughout.
