Junction City 43, Foreman 6

FOREMAN — Junction City imposed its will up front and spread the wealth on offense in a 43–6 road win at Foreman in 2A-3 play Friday night. Senior Dakorey Larry (QB/CB) set the tone with 112 rushing yards and a touchdown on just nine carries, powering a Dragons ground attack that rolled up 301 rushing yards.

The skill group finished the job. Junior Zamundrae Gray (WR/FS) added a late 6‑yard score, senior Dakylan “DK” Hampton (WR/FS) punched in a first‑half TD, and junior Brennan Lee bulled across in the third quarter. Senior Jakorey Larry (WR/CB) also found the end zone on a reception as Junction City diversified beyond its familiar wishbone looks.

Defensively, the Dragons were relentless. Dalton Baker (OLB/FB) logged a game‑best 10 tackles with three for loss, while Gray and sophomore Cade Hightower each grabbed interceptions to snuff out Foreman threats. Jakorey Larry added a pick as well, and junior Nemo Caldwell contributed eight stops from the secondary.

Foreman showed bite early, recovering an onside kick to open the second half and leaning on a heavy, misdirection run package that featured the fullback and sweeps, with WR/CB Kaylon Easter back after an early knock and Brody Bearden (QB/RB/OLB) among the chain‑movers. But Junction City’s front—anchored by linemen such as Delonte Duff and freshman D.Q. Standard—steadied and kept the Gators off the board after the break.

The win gives head coach Devin Ball’s Dragons momentum heading into a home date with Mineral Springs, while Ed Baker’s Gators regroup for Murfreesboro.
