Malvern Alum Jalen Dupree Shines at Colorado State, Earns Mountain West Honor
FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Colorado State redshirt freshman running back Jalen Dupree made an immediate impact in his first collegiate start, rushing 15 times for 92 yards and a 15‑yard touchdown at Washington. The performance earned him Mountain West Freshman of the Week for Week 1. He posted three carries of 15 yards or longer and provided steady production throughout.
Arkansas Roots
At Malvern (Ark.), Dupree graduated as the Leopards’ career rushing leader with 6,805 yards — third most in Arkansas history — and set the program’s career touchdown record. He was the 2023 Arkansas Overall Player of the Year at the Farm Bureau Insurance Awards and the 2022 MaxPreps Arkansas Player of the Year after a 2,828‑yard, 41‑touchdown junior season, including 287 yards and four TDs in the 4A title game (MVP).
