Moseley’s Four TD Catches Lead Greenbrier Past Van Buren, 50-42

Trendon Moseley caught 11 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns as Greenbrier scored 21 fourth-quarter points to beat Van Buren 50-42 Friday. Easton Jutze threw five touchdown passes, including all four to Moseley.
Jutze opened the scoring with a touchdown pass to Ace Newland. Van Buren tied the game with an interception return before Moseley caught a 92-yard touchdown pass on third-and-22.
Hayden Williford’s second-quarter touchdown pass and a successful two-point conversion gave Van Buren a 15-14 lead. Moseley answered with a 51-yard touchdown reception, and Jutze passed to TyRae Kemp for two points. After Van Buren tied it at 22-22, Moseley scored on a 56-yard reception on third-and-10 with 1:15 left before halftime. Moseley had eight catches for 265 yards and three touchdowns at halftime, according to the broadcast’s unofficial statistics.
Williford ran for a 36-yard touchdown to open the third-quarter scoring, then threw a touchdown pass on fourth-and-5 for a 36-29 lead.
Ashyr Crow scored on runs of 32 and 8 yards in the fourth quarter. His first touchdown tied the score at 36-36 with 10:31 left. Greenbrier stopped Van Buren on fourth-and-2 inside the 10 during the fourth quarter, setting up the possession that ended with Crow’s second touchdown. His second put Greenbrier ahead 43-36 with 6:03 remaining.
Van Buren answered with a 1-yard touchdown run and attempted a two-point conversion for the lead. Rupe Adams reached quarterback Williford before he could release a throwback pass, preserving Greenbrier’s 43-42 advantage.
Sean Moss recovered the ensuing onside kick. Jutze then found Moseley for a 35-yard touchdown on fourth-and-4 with 1:17 remaining, extending Greenbrier’s lead to eight points. Ethan Rhodes made six extra points, including the kick after Moseley’s fourth.
Van Buren drove to the Greenbrier 11 before an incomplete pass on an untimed down ended the game.
