MOUNTAIN HOME — A scoreless first quarter gave way to a second‑quarter avalanche as Mountain Home used explosive plays and two defensive touchdowns to defeat Russellville, 43–0, on homecoming. RB/DB Barrett Millerjump‑started the Bombers with touchdown runs of 28 and 74 yards, then added a 30‑yard scoring reception from QB Brantlee Phillips. Phillips finished an efficient 4‑of‑9 passing with two touchdowns, while Miller piled up 173 rushing yards on just 11 carries. Blake Vacco and Seth Lara each returned interceptions for touchdowns to cap the rout; the sportsmanship rule (running clock) was in effect after halftime.
Russellville’s defense opened well, forcing multiple early punts before Mountain Home’s tempo and perimeter speed took hold late in the half. Offensively, the Cyclones tried to control the clock behind Jayden Foster’s hard yards and short passing, while Julius Thompson and the back end limited deep shots for long stretches. K Jesus Perez helped manage field position with directional punts, but two pick‑sixes and Miller’s burst proved too much to overcome.
The Bombers improve to 5–1 overall and 2–1 in the 6A‑West. Russellville drops to 0–6, 0–3
