Nashville 62, Fountain Lake 25— Homecoming fireworks on the field, too
Nashville fell behind 6–0 on Fountain Lake’s opening pass‑only drive (PAT blocked), then ripped off 21 unanswered in the first quarter and never looked back on Homecoming night.
QB Jacobe Hopson powered the surge with multiple keeper TDs (including a long breakaway) and a TD pass to Cortez Cooper, while RB Tucker Dixon added a first‑quarter rushing score and several chain‑moving runs. Nashville also flipped the game defensively by mixing fronts—often rushing three and dropping eight—which produced fourth‑down stops and turnovers.
Two defensive touchdowns iced it late: a pick‑six by DT Jadon Williamson (yes, the big man rumbled the sideline to the house) and a pick‑six by LB Jacob Teague. K Luis Flores converted the vast majority of PATs (one try died on a mishandled snap), a notable step forward from recent weeks.
Fountain Lake’s Peyton Harwood and Case Hair were frequent targets in the quick game and on deep shots; the Cobras scored on a slant just before halftime to make it 35–12, but Trendon Northcross immediately returned a squib for a Nashville TD to restore the cushion at 42–12. The Cobras added two late TD passes against reserves to reach 25.
