NEWPORT — In a 3A-3 rivalry, Newport leaned on a bruising ground game and a ball-hawking defense to defeat Osceola 34–10 at Greyhound Field. Senior quarterback Luke Reynolds accounted for three touchdowns — two on keepers and a 16‑yard toss to senior receiver Dayrin Braxton — while running back Trevion Greer finished off two drives with red‑zone scores. Newport intercepted four passes and added a late fumble recovery to salt it away.

Osceola answered with an eight‑yard touchdown when Maurice “MJ” Washington found quarterback Tyler Bell on a jump‑pass in the second quarter, and the Seminoles trimmed it to 18–10 on a 39‑yard field goal to open the third. Bell kept several plays alive with scrambles and timely throws, and backs Atrion Fultz and Anthony Brown helped move the chains.

Reynolds’ one‑yard plunge and a two‑point pass to tight end Jesyn Russell restored a two‑score cushion in the third, then Greer’s sharp cut and seven‑yard burst closed the book in the fourth.
