White, Owens Power Har-Ber Past Heritage
Har-Ber 35, Rogers Heritage 3
Har-Ber’s offense hit stride Friday night in Rogers, rolling to a 35-3 victory over the Heritage War Eagles behind quarterback Brice Owens and a defense led by linebacker Will White.
Owens accounted for three touchdowns — two on the ground and one through the air — as the Wildcats rebounded from a tough loss to Bentonville. After fumbling on their first snap, Har-Ber responded with five consecutive scoring drives. Owens punched in runs of two and one yards before finding Zac Miller for a 17-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
Running back Reed McAllister paced the ground game with a 50-yard burst that set up his own short scoring run. Miller later added an eight-yard jet sweep to cap the scoring, while kicker Brody Roland-Reynolds went a perfect 5-for-5 on extra points.
Heritage opened strong with a 23-yard field goal from Ronald Vizuet after forcing an early turnover. Running back Evan Gordon and fullback Dillan Lackey fought for tough yards in Coach Eric Munoz’s Wing-T offense, but Har-Ber’s defense — anchored by White and lineman Soler Moore — controlled the line of scrimmage from the second quarter on.
The win moves Coach Aaron Danenhauer’s Wildcats to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in 7A West play, while Heritage (0-5, 0-2) continues to search for its first conference win.
