Polk’s Air Show Lifts Smackover Past Prescott in 49–13 Rout

SMACKOVER — Smackover seized control of a 7-3A showdown Friday, overturning an early 13–7 deficit to beat Prescott 49–13.

Quarterback Mitchell Polk directed the Buckaroos with a crisp downfield attack, tossing five touchdown passes to a deep receiving corps that included Jaden Bryant, Braxton Bryant and two scores to Jamari Robinson. Tailback Joseph Brown closed the night with a late rushing TD that triggered the mercy rule. Polk (QB), Robinson (WR), Jaden Bryant (WR) and Braxton Bryant (WR) are listed in Smackover’s roster.

Prescott struck first behind Dalton Stockton. The senior quarterback hit Roderick McKinney for a 55‑yard strike, then found Amario Monk on a 30‑yard receiver screen to make it 13–7. K.J. Page churned out tough yards and converted a fourth‑and‑short to sustain drives, while Owen Glass contributed in the pass game and with a touchdown‑saving tackle from his safety spot.

Smackover flipped momentum late in the second quarter on Polk-to-Robinson and a 13‑yard scoring toss for a 21–13 halftime lead, then pulled away after the break: Polk zipped a corner route to Jaden Bryant and later hit Braxton Bryant on a one‑play wheel to make it 35–13 before Robinson’s leaping grab stretched it further and Brown’s run capped the rout.
