Rams race past Wolves in rivalry opener
Lakeside 56, Lake Hamilton 20
HOT SPRINGS — Lakeside opened the season in high gear, piling up explosive plays to top Lake Hamilton 56–20 on Friday at Wolf Stadium.
Senior quarterback Wally Wolcott steered the Rams with four touchdown passes, distributing the ball to a deep receiver room, while running back Tremendous Cain added two fourth-quarter scores to seal the rout. Peter Ohman provided balance with a rushing touchdown and a catch-and-run score, while the Lakeside defense settled after the first quarter, forcing a pivotal fumble that flipped momentum.
Lake Hamilton landed the early punches behind senior quarterback Hudson Davenport’s keeper and a goal-line plunge from Coy Autrey, later adding a fourth-quarter strike from sophomore quarterback Jace Bohannan to senior playmaker Carson Jackson.
