SILOAM SPRINGS — Easton Shrable and Nazsier Johnson each ran for two touchdowns as Mountain Home scored 40 unanswered points in a 40-3 victory over Siloam Springs Friday night.

The Bombers trailed after a first-quarter field goal, then scored on the ground, through the air and on special teams while holding the Panthers scoreless the rest of the way. Isaac Ballard kicked a 38-yard field goal and five extra points, and a ball out of the back of the end zone on a Siloam Springs punt play produced a third-quarter safety.

Mountain Home’s first scoring drive began at its 22 after the Panthers took a 3-0 lead with 5:11 left in the opening quarter. Conner Gentry helped finish the possession with consecutive quarterback runs, the second taking the ball to the 3. Shrable scored from there with 1:03 remaining, and Ballard’s kick put the Bombers ahead for good.

Ballard extended the lead to 10-3 in the second quarter. Later, Grady Sheehan caught a third-and-seven pass and reached the Siloam Springs 7. Gentry carried to the 1, and Johnson scored on the next play. The extra point made it 17-3 with 2:55 left in the half.

The defense helped Mountain Home add another touchdown before intermission. Corbin Lefevers sacked the quarterback on third-and-20, forcing a punt that gave the Bombers the ball at the Panthers’ 38 with 1:45 remaining. Gentry completed two passes to Eli Reiss, then rolled right and found Gaige Wilson in the end zone for a 16-yard touchdown. Ballard’s kick made it 24-3 with 1:16 left.

The halftime statistical report credited Mountain Home with 218 yards to Siloam Springs’ 46. Gentry was 6 of 8 for 68 passing yards with a touchdown and an interception, and he had rushed seven times for 50 yards. Shrable had 70 yards on 13 carries, while Johnson had 25 on four. Jake Thomas had intercepted a Siloam Springs pass.

The safety pushed the lead to 26-3 with 10:42 remaining in the third quarter. Siloam Springs recovered the ensuing free kick at the Mountain Home 40, but the Bombers’ defense forced a punt. The broadcast credited Ford Coleman, Elijah Hillstrom and Saxton Bodenhamer with pressure during that series.

Gentry later broke a draw play for a first down on second-and-20. Johnson followed with two carries, the second an eight-yard touchdown that helped make it 33-3 with four minutes left in the third quarter. Shrable finished the scoring with another three-yard run in the fourth, following blocks to the left. Ballard’s final extra point established the 40-3 margin.
