Cabot’s Goal-Line Stand, Blocked Kick Secure First Win

CABOT — Cannon Moore scored on a 6-yard direct snap, and Cabot returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown to defeat Little Rock Catholic 21-14 Friday night.
The Panthers earned their first victory, with both teams finishing the night 1-2. Cabot stopped Catholic near its goal line in the second quarter and ended the Rockets’ final possession on downs.
Catholic reached Cabot’s 10 on its opening drive, but the Panthers blocked Patrick Harrington’s 26-yard field-goal attempt and returned it for a touchdown with 5:20 remaining in the first quarter.
Luke Burdine answered with a 5-yard touchdown run. Harrington’s extra point tied the game 7-7 with 1:27 left.
