GAME OF THE WEEK:
2 P.M. SATURDAY: Henderson State (6-0) at HARDING (6-0): The conference championship is likely on the line. One former Bryant Hornets QB filled in for another last week as Jordan Walker replaced Austin Ledbetter and scored 3 TDs on nearly 200 yards of total offense as the Reddies had no trouble on the road at NW Oklahoma State and won 34-7. Harding played Southeast Oklahoma a little closer than some expected, but won 38-24. RB Andrew Miller (134-824 rushing, 21 TDs) ran for 229 yards and a single-game Harding record of 4 TDs; freshman Jeff Regan of Rogers has rushed 29 times for 506 yards and 7 TDs. Regan is also averaging 37.4 yards on 9 kickoff returns, including a 98-yard TD. Harding has won 27 consecutive home games. Harding knocks off the Reddies to remain undefeated in its march to another conference crown.
1 P.M. SATURDAY: Arkansas-Monticello (1-5) at OUACHITA BAPTIST (4-2): Another week, another competitive game, but another loss for the Boll Weevils. UAM posted 519 yards of total offense in a 34-20 to Oklahoma Baptist, but QB Drew Forkner threw 3 interceptions. Ouachita rolled last week, beating Southern Nazarene 49-14. Tre Nichols threw a TD pass on the first play from scrimmage to Eli Holmes-Holt and the TIgers roared to a homecoming win. OBU knocks off UAM this week by taking care of the football and creating explosive plays.
6 P.M. SATURDAY: Southern Arkansas (2-4) at ARKANSAS TECH (2-4): Both teams lost last week. SAU lost 28-18 to SW Oklahoma State and the Wonder Boys dropped a nail-biter to East Central 58-56. Arkansas Tech has looked like a better overall football team than the Muleriders the past few weeks. Tech, with the home field advantage, gets the win and moves to 3-4 in GAC play.
