October 30, 2026

BENTON — Lamarion Bradley accounted for 227 total yards and three touchdowns, and Weston Monson recorded three sacks as Benton (6-3, 5-1) scored the final 34 points in a 48-13 victory over West Memphis (1-8, 0-6) on Friday night.

The Panthers trailed early and led by only a point late in the first quarter before taking control on senior night. Bradley scored on runs of 2, 2 and 21 yards, while Benton added touchdown passes from Chase Cobb and receiver Cooper Priest. The Panthers led 34-13 at halftime and reached the running-clock margin in the third quarter.

West Memphis created the first break with a punt that rolled to the Benton 2. After a penalty and a short completion, Brayden Bass intercepted Cobb and returned it for a touchdown. Keaton Troxler was stopped on the two-point attempt, leaving the Blue Devils ahead 6-0.

Bradley helped Benton answer with a 39-yard run that pushed him past 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Cobb added a 25-yard scramble to the 2, and Bradley finished the drive from there. Gabe Wilbur’s extra point gave Benton a 7-6 lead with 6:19 left in the first quarter.

A 40-yard completion from Cobb to TJ Williams set up Bradley’s second 2-yard touchdown. Wilbur’s kick made it 14-6 with 3:14 remaining in the quarter, but West Memphis answered when Andrew Clay escaped pressure and found Micah Ingle for an 80-yard touchdown pass. The Blue Devils closed within 14-13.

Bradley opened the second-quarter scoring with a 21-yard run, and Benton pulled away despite a missed extra point. Monson’s pressure helped force an intentional-grounding penalty on West Memphis’ next possession, and Baylor Dyson stopped a running play in the backfield before the Blue Devils punted.

Cobb capped the ensuing possession with an 8-yard touchdown run. Later, Benton shifted Bradley out of the backfield and pitched the ball to Priest, who threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Jake Cloud. Wilbur’s kick put the Panthers ahead 34-13 with 5:54 left before halftime.

Benton scored on a 10-yard pass from Cobb to Max Gist with 10:48 left in the third quarter. Brenden Murdock then finished another drive with a 1-yard touchdown run. Wilbur added his sixth successful extra point, making it 48-13.

The Panthers did not allow another score after the first quarter. James Rainey-Parker helped preserve that finish with a tackle at the Benton 1 on a late West Memphis completion. Benton visits Marion in the regular-season finale.
