Beebe 21, Greene County Tech 20
BEEBE — Beebe survived a tense fourth quarter to edge Greene County Tech 21–20 on Friday, leaning on timely defense and senior quarterback Ty McCormick’s composure down the stretch. McCormick scored on a keeper before halftime, then delivered the night’s decisive throw on fourth-and-5 early in the fourth, hitting LJ Miller on a quick slant to restore a one-score lead. Sophomore safety Jaden Miller flipped momentum with a red-zone interception moments earlier, and Beebe’s defense sealed it by stuffing the Eagles’ two-point try with 2:39 left.
Beebe balanced the load behind senior running back Curtis Goodrich, who churned out chain-moving runs, while senior receiver Demarco Moore sparked the perimeter game and the return unit (a long TD return was erased by penalty). Senior receiver Kameron Johnson opened the scoring with a first-quarter touchdown grab. The Badgers also won key specials situations behind senior kicker Andy Rodriguez and senior linebacker Luke Lewis, who handled punts cleanly.
Greene County Tech countered with a physical ground attack keyed by junior running back Ashton Addison and a steady night from senior quarterback Tucker Beasley. Beasley found senior wideout Noah Oswalt for a corner-route score in the second quarter and leaned on senior tight end Gad Stanley (6-4, 230) to extend drives. The Eagles’ offensive line strung together two marathon scoring marches, including a third-quarter equalizer and a late fourth-quarter burst that set up the deciding conversion.
Both defenses produced red-zone answers, but Beebe’s secondary made the night’s two biggest plays—Miller’s interception and a late end-zone breakup—to preserve a road win heading into the bye week.
