MOUNTAIN HOME — Greenwood used a bruising ground game and a disciplined defense to finish a perfect regular season Friday, defeating Mountain Home 42–10 to capture the 6A West championship and the No. 1 seed.

WR/DB Champ Davis lined up at running back and delivered five rushing touchdowns—31, 11, 4, 2 and 30 yards—on 13 carries for 144 yards, and added eight receptions for 63. Senior QB Kane Archer went 23-of-39 for 177 yards with a 14-yard strike to WR Cooper Bland and added 56 rushing yards. RB Mario Dunbar churned for 65, and Greenwood’s front controlled the line throughout. Archer’s poise on third down repeatedly extended drives all night.

Mountain Home answered with a 25-yard Isaac Ballard field goal and a crisp third-quarter drive capped by QB Brantlee Phillips’ 21-yard touchdown pass to RB/DB Carter Adkins. RB Barrett Miller earned tough yards against a wave of Bulldogs, while WR/DB Gus Wilber and RB/DB Connor Schulz moved the sticks. For Greenwood, DL Cody Johnson, LB Bryer Hackler and DB Blaze McDaniel disrupted lanes and contested throws. Bland finished with five receptions for 46 yards, and K Landon Franklin was perfect on six PATs.

The Bulldogs forced three first-half punts, then answered Mountain Home’s scores with consecutive Davis bursts to restore control. Greenwood has won 36 straight and completed a third consecutive 10–0 regular season, while the Bombers, 8–1 entering Week 10, showed the balance that propelled their rise and will travel into the postseason with confidence after this road test.
