Booneville 47, Glen Rose 14

Booneville’s Wing‑T steamroller never cooled off Friday night, as the Bearcats piled up 515 rushing yards and pulled away for a 47–14 Class 3A quarterfinal win over Glen Rose. Senior quarterback/defensive back Rhett Nietert opened the scoring with a 28‑yard keeper on the Bearcats’ first drive and later added over 100 rushing yards on the night.

Sophomore running back/defensive end Hayden Daniel stretched the lead to 13–0 with a second‑quarter touchdown run, but the Beavers answered behind junior quarterback Gage Hood and junior receiver/running back Darrin Bowdle. Bowdle capped two Glen Rose marches with scoring runs of roughly seven and nine yards to keep it 26–14 late in the half.

Booneville seized control with explosive plays to senior halfback/defensive back Conner Droemer, who ripped a 53‑yard touchdown pitch and finished with 141 yards and a score on just six carries. Senior fullback/linebacker Hunter Warrentook over from there, bruising his way to 144 yards and three touchdowns on 24 attempts as the Bearcats built a 33–14 halftime cushion and then made it 40–14 and 47–14 with third‑ and fourth‑quarter plunges.

Glen Rose found moments of rhythm through the air as Hood connected deep several times with senior receiver/defensive back Damien Stevens, who topped 70 receiving yards and added eight tackles from the secondary. Linebacker Austin Moreland and defensive lineman Riley Cox were active all night against Booneville’s physical front, but the Bearcats’ depth and balance in the backfield ultimately wore the Beavers down.
