Elkins advances to the semifinals for the third consecutive season after slipping past Arkadelphia last week 13-10 and Southside 24-21 in the second round. Elkins quarterback Ben Napier injured his ankle in the second half last week. Backup Austin Born (12-50 rushing, TD; 2-2 passing) ran for the winning 4-yard TD in the fourth quarter. Napier passed for 102 yards and ran 29 yards for a TD before his injury. RB Connor Hamm (13-66 rushing) and Treyton Whittle (5-56 receiving) aided Elkins’ offense; senior linebacker Brooks Williams (15 tackles) and his brother, SR Williams (11 tackles), topped the defensive charts. Cason Roten had a sack as time expired to preserve the victory.
Stuttgart advances to the semifinals after beating Bauxite 49-21 last week. Junior QB Cain Price passed for 197 yards and a TD; Tyquan Hall rushed for 155 yards and 2 TDs. Keaton Byers caught a TD pass and recorded 9 tackles.

8-4A (3) Warren (10-3) at 4-4A (1) DARDANELLE (13-0): This is a rematch of the 2014 semifinals when Warren kicked the winning field goal with less than 4 minutes remaining to win 17-16. Warren needed heroics late last week to get past Prairie Grove 47-40. Receiver Tayshawn Edwards hauled in the winning 9-yard TD pass with less than a minute left. Senior Bleyze Fellows was Warren’s top receiver and has more than 1,700 yards this fall. Dardanelle QB Creed Vega (204 yards rushing, 114 passing) lifted the Sand Lizards past Monticello last week 35-14. Sophomore RB Jayvon Chaten (8-96 rushing, 2 TDs) and his brother Rod Chaten (5-72) played well on offense; Kam Olson (17 tackles) and Breydin Hardy (16 tackles) were the defensive cogs.
