Saints Score 23 Straight, Rally Past Heritage Hall

SPRINGDALE — Shiloh Christian erased a three-point halftime deficit and scored 23 consecutive points to defeat Heritage Hall of Oklahoma 38-25 Friday at Champion Stadium.

Heritage Hall opened the scoring when a high punt snap rolled through Shiloh’s end zone for a safety with 5:21 left in the first quarter. Beau Butler’s 25-yard field goal extended the margin to 5-0 early in the second.

The Saints answered on Charlie Kroell’s 8-yard touchdown run, but Nash Eiser scored from 5 yards to put the Chargers back ahead 11-6. Cole Creighton then found Cohen Beach down the middle for a 71-yard touchdown and a 12-11 lead.

Heritage Hall responded again. Teagan Lawson connected with Max Everett on a 7-yard scoring pass, and Butler’s extra point made it 18-12 with 1:11 remaining. Kallen Hunnicutt’s 36-yard field goal on the final play of the half pulled Shiloh within 18-15.

Shiloh took control immediately after halftime. Creighton finished the opening possession with a 10-yard touchdown keeper, putting the Saints ahead 22-18. Shiloh then recorded consecutive sacks late in the third quarter, with Miller’s end-zone sack producing a safety and a 24-18 advantage.

Max Eldridge supplied both fourth-quarter touchdowns on 2-yard runs at 10:47 and 7:24, stretching the lead to 38-18. Lawson answered with a 12-yard touchdown run, but Heritage Hall’s onside kick traveled out of bounds. The Chargers’ final possession ended at Shiloh’s 11. Shiloh outscored the Chargers 23-7 after the halftime break.

Crucial third-down conversions extended Shiloh’s second-half drives. Creighton completed 20 of 28 passes for 288 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions while rushing for 35 yards and another score. Beach caught four passes for 122 yards. Eldridge carried 14 times for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Miller led the Saints with 12 tackles and two sacks as Shiloh’s defense totaled four sacks.
