JONESBORO - The Sun Belt Conference has announced its 2015 composite football schedule, and three midweek nationally-televised games on ESPN2 or ESPNU highlight Arkansas State's league slate for the upcoming season.

The Red Wolves will play eight consecutive Sun Belt games to close out the regular season for the second consecutive year and fourth time over the past five seasons. They will open their season Sept. 5 at USC, followed by back-to-back home outings vs. Missouri and Missouri State before completing non-conference play at Toledo Sept. 26.

A-State's conference schedule will begin Oct. 3, when it will host Idaho in one of four league games and six total contests set to be played at Centennial Bank Stadium. The Red Wolves conference opener against Idaho will also double as their 2015 Homecoming game.

Following the Idaho contest, the first midweek game on Arkansas State's schedule will be played Oct. 13 at South Alabama. The game will mark the first of two consecutive Tuesday-night games televised on ESPN2 for the Red Wolves, who will return home to host Louisiana-Lafayette exactly one week later on Oct. 20.

With three of its four conference games being played at Centennial Bank Stadium, A-State will remain in Jonesboro for its next game on

Oct. 31 when it faces Georgia State. The Red Wolves will kickoff a three-game road swing Thursday, Nov. 5, when it travels to Boone, N.C., to face Appalachian State in an ESPNU-televised outing.

A-State will remain on the road two of the next three Saturdays, playing at Louisiana-Monroe Nov. 14 and New Mexico State Nov. 28. The Red Wolves will have an open week prior to playing NMSU. The team will close out the regular season at home on Dec. 5, when it plays Texas State on the Red Wolves' annual "Senior Day."

Including back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2011 and 2012, eight more in 2013 and seven last year, the Red Wolves have recorded 35 victories for their most over a four-year span since winning 37 from 1984-87 as an NCAA I-AA (now FCS) member.
