TOP OF BRACKET SEMIFINAL
8-3A (1) FORDYCE (13-0) at 7-3A (1) Bismarck (12-0): Fordyce beat defending 3A state champion Booneville last week 34-26. Micah Gamble scored the winning touchdown with 11.5 seconds remaining for the Redbugs. QB Zay Jones (13-16 passing, 114 yards, 1 TD: 14-191 rushing, 2 TDs), Gamble (14-145 rushing, 2 TDs) and Jamartez Stroud (6-71 receiving, 1 TD) led the way. Brenton Sledge (10 tackles), Stroud (9 tackles, 2 TFLs) and Brenden Simmons (7 tackles, 1 FR) were the defensive anchors. Bismarck advanced to the semifinals with a 28-17 win over Osceola. QB Ben Keithley (180 yards passing, 2 TDs; 83 yards rushing, 1 TD), Caedmon Keithley (49 yard rushing , 1 TD), Preston Hughes (65 yards receiving, 1 TD) and Johnny Diaz (53 yards receiving, 1 TD) led the offense. Caedmon Keithley was the anchor on defense with 10 tackles. This is a matchup between one of the 3A’s top offensive teams in Bismarck against Fordyce, one of the top defenses in 3A. Fordyce’s defense which gives the Redbugs the edge.
BOTTOM OF THE BRACKET SEMIFINALS
2-3A (1) Salem (10-3) at 1-3A (1) MANSFIELD (11-2): Salem beat Rivercrest 50-18 and advances to the semifinals for the first time since 2019. RB Kaden Brink (21-169 rushing, 2 TDs), RB Skyler Payne (17-92 rushing, 1 TD) and QB Jackson Taylor (6-31 rushing, 2 TDs) led the way. Payne (8 tackles, 1 TFL) and Keagan Sanderson (6 tackles, 2 TFLs) were the defensive anchors. Mansfield beat Dumas 36-6 last week and advances to the semifinals for the second consecutive season. Daniel Burton (11-175 rushing, 3 TDs) led the offense. Dakota Deer (4 tackles, 2 TFLs, 3 QB hurries) and Leland Powell (1 INT) led the defense. Both teams possess strong defenses, but Mansfield earns a slight edge with an offense led by Daniel, Andrew and Samuel Burton.
