ASU senior receiver Dwayne Frampton makes Biletnikoff Award watch list
JONESBORO (7/8/11) - Arkansas State senior wide receiver Dwayne Frampton (Wilmington, Calif.), a 2010 All-Sun Belt Conference selection, has been named to the 2011 watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to the nation's outstanding college football receiver on the ESPNU College Football?Awards Show.
As a junior, Frampton posted a team-high 69 receptions that were the second most in school history and a team-high 738 receiving yards that were seventh most. He ranked second in the Sun Belt Conference in receptions, sixth in receiving yards and tied for third in receiving touchdowns (six). His six touchdown receptions tied the third most in school history.
Nationally, Frampton ranked 30th in receptions and 80th in receiving yards. He set the school record for receptions in a game with 12 vs. Indiana, which were also the most by a Sun Belt Conference player last season. Frampton finished with double-figure receptions in two games and caught multiple passes in every contest.
Frampton recorded a career-high 138 receiving yards against Middle Tennessee that ranked as the 18th most in ASU history and the most by an A-State player in a decade. He led ASU in receptions in half of its games, while also returning seven kickoffs for 99 yards and recording six punt returns for 15 yards.
